I gave this a solid one-star rating when I first received it; the cord is fairly short and the control box is close to the light which makes it an odd fit for a high headboard on a bed. After grabbing an extension cord to make up for the short reach and being able to actually use it, am upgrading to four stars. It has the two color temps and the high/low setting for each makes this a great reading lamp. It casts a wide beam despite having a small puck head and could easily be used for two people in a queen-sized bed. I still have to fish for the control box when trying to turn it off (I'm not in college -- I don't want cords running down the front of my bed) but it's a minor annoyance and I don't see anything offering a better solution. Would recommend with the caveat of the short cord (which is in the description itself so that's what I get for not reading ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )

I bought this for my husband YEARS ago and it's still going strong. Finally broke down and bought myself one too. Has cool and warm settings and two different levels of light- a brighter one that illuminates quite a bit and a softer one that's perfect for reading in bed while the person next to you sleeps. Clip is strong and sturdy, neck is very flexible, and we're going on at least 5 years with the first one so it LASTS!

- Dual power, USB or AC, does come w/adapter - Clip is very strong, 3" clip face - The bling you see in the listing pix is just wrapped around ribbon with metallic thread. Doesn't look as good as online but it's not terrible. Just snip it off. - 2 light colors, LED blue/white and soft room style - Switch is on the big side at 3" x 1". A bit awkwardly designed, too, but easy to get used to - Switch is 11" down the line. - Whole cord length is 60" - Gooseneck is metal, about 16" long - The whole thing is all metal, no plastic This is way overboard for what I wanted it for, but that's not a bad thing. I needed a positionable, bright light for a makeup mirror. This thing's clip would probably break my mirror's plastic, and its overall weight would definitely topple the mirror. I have no problem with that, though. Assuming the LEDs last a respectable length of time, this is a very solidly made, very useful desk lamp. If you have a need for a small light head that's still on the bright side, I think this one is a good option to consider. Soon as it arrived, unwrapped it and plugged to make sure it worked. Score! JUST what I wanted. FIRST, just ONE small concern. I have left it on for about an hour and a half, just to see if it flickers or anything (no, it isn't), and it has gotten quite warm. Not like burning hot, and not a big issue, as I will use this light just off and on, for reading, reading, I won't leave it on, but I would consider this if you get it. LIKE: EASY of SETTING UP - Unwrap, plug in, clip on and turn on. STABILITY - Seems to securely be attached to my table/desk QUALITY - SO far, quality seems good. Seems durable. FLEXIBILITY - WOW. You can move in to focus where you need it. VERY flexible. VERSATILE - LOVE the different tones (cool, warm) and brightness and easy to click back and forth. PRICE - I got it when it was 12.99, but I would easily have paid 20 for this IF it continues to work as it does now. EXTRA - Love how it's padded to not scrape what you're putting it on. BOTTOMLINE: Will continue to try this out for a week or so and if all is still as great as it is now, will order at least one more for my bed table.

I got this lamp in an attempt to replace my bedside reading lamp. This one kinda works. The lamp overall seems to be pretty sturdy, except for the switch, which feels pretty marginal. I can see why reviewers have complained about it, even though it's holding up for me. The light it emits is bright enough for me to read in bed, even when on its dimmer setting. Having said this, I think that this lamp would be better suited as a desk lamp than a reading lamp. There are two problems that I see with it: a) The stalk is too short. For a bedside lamp, you need the lamp to be able to reach far enough over the bed (and book) that you won't get a shadow in the gutter area of the binding. The stalk is marginal at best in this regard. b) The attachment clamp that's provided is just a spring-loaded clip. This does seem to be strong enough to support the lamp, at least in my experience, but requires a good 1.5" of clear edge for the surface on which you're mounting it. In my case, my bedside table has a marble top with an ogee lip, and only a small overhang. For now, I've just lifted up the marble and shoved the lamp's clamp under it, but this is just a bodge-up job, and leaves the table top sloping. There's a larger lip at the back of the bedside table, but there isn't enough clearance from the wall to put the clamp there, and if it did then the stalk would be even shorter. Many products of this type come with a wide variety of mounting options. This lamp falls down in this regard. It's also probably worth noting that the switch is kinda psychotic, at least in the labeling of the two switches. You actually have to set the lower of the two switches shown in the attached pic into the "off" position in order to turn the lamp "on" in the less bright setting. You get used to it, but it is a bit whacky. I'll keep the lamp, since it was dead cheap and the light is reasonably bright and versatile. I may move it somewhere else in the house (and get another one for bedtime reading), or try to figure out a better means of mounting it.

This is a good one as it clips on desks with good force! It’s clip is strong enough to bend it around without it unclipping and landing on the floor. The light is nice, bright or duller in a nice warm and white light. Click on Buttons quite user friendly to get used to changing.

i am using tgis as clip on bed side lamp.it has 2 different light colours with 2 different intensities.It does not create heat..making it ideal to be used for the long video calls,where an ordinary light can create too much heat and unbearable for long hours..totally recommended
