Artisanal French Soap Bar Enriched with Shea Butter, Honey Almond, 8.8 Ounce

I just love this soap. It exfoliates while it has a creamy lather. The scent is soft & clean smelling.

The soap is heavy! It’s four times milled, that means it’s dense. The effect is that it feels gritty to touch, but those are tiny hard soap particles break up into suds slowly. Beautiful lather when you take it slowly. When you lather up, it’s a lovely, soft sensation. A new soap is too big to fit into a standard soap case, but no problem. After a couple of months, when it’s fits into the soap case, it’s perfect for traveling if you like this very special soap. I would not recommend for children as it’s painful if the soap particles get in the eyes before they burst into lather.

I've refused to use anything other than Pre de Provence for 13 years now. It's the best body soap I've ever tried, I love the scents, and it doesn't leave any buildup. Feels like a dream ^.^

I have been using this brand of soap for years. I just love it and all of the scents that are offered. This particular bar has a subtle sweety/nutty smell and is like a loofah soap with built in grit. It's a little bit like filing off your dead skin, personally I love that but for people with sensitive skin it might be too much. Also, it is a bit of a pricier soap, but I find that it lasts a long time so for me it's worth it. And I shower every day and don't share it.

Wonderful

This has grit in it and works nicely at the kitchen sink to clean hands that have been preparing food! It’s such a big bar that I cut it into thirds to make it easier to handle and last longer. The scent is extremely mild and a piece lasts for several weeks at my kitchen sink.

Scent is pleasant

This soap is incredible, I don't know that I'll ever buy a different brand again, the scent is incredible and the bar lasts for ever. If you are an artist or gardener, I really recommend the Honey Almond and the scent is good. The rougher particulate in the soap is great for removing grit. As several people noted, some scents are definitely better than others and it depends a lot on what you are looking for in a product. As someone else mentioned, the lavender husks get everywhere and can be annoying to clean if you aren't looking for natural lavender husks. Sometimes, nature can be annoying that way, the oils can be better over raw product. So it's probably worth doing some searching on whatever scent you fancy. I'm typically pretty reactive to heavier perfumed products, the soap will be strong when it's first in the house, a good scent not commercial cleaning good types. It doesn't give me any kind of headache or isn't too strong to use over time.

The exfoliating bits leave my soap dish really messy but the smell and longevity of the soap makes up for it.

But as it has some significantly harder particles, it is not particularly smooth
