the colour is wow but a bit expensive
A bit expensive but I'm soooo in love with this colour.. Obviously, for girls with jet black hair (like me) you HAVE to use blonde before using this to get the perfect shade..but if ur buying it to colour ur hair at home I guess u already know that😉 for me it worked well as I had ombre before and it stays for like one n half months. The whole tube lasted for about 6 months.

😁👍
The color has come up really good and I have ordered two more packs! Guys and Girls, you should use this with a 40 volume developer from Schwarzkopf or Loreal,in the ratio of 1:2(color: developer) to get the desired results!

It is a very beautiful color. And it doesnt wash away with shampooing easily like any other color. If you mix pink and blue, you get this color. Very suitable for fairer skin. I needed the full pack with 20 volume developer to get this intensity. I have a neck length hair as you can see in the picture.

Horrible product!
The most horrible product ever. Although it's written no pre-lightening is required, it doesnt work at all. Most of the color washed off in the first wash, and the rest by the third. Very dissatisfied.

unless Carrot-top is a nickname you like.
I Looked a bit orange and have some split ends and hair fall but not as much as typical bleach. I strongly suggest getting a purple toner, unless Carrot-top is a nickname you like.

Worth the money
I bought loreal hicolor magenta and it came out pretty good. But it looks good only in outdoors, when I'm indoors it looks black only. I've seen many posts of ppl saying it fades to copper/blond, let's see how it goes...

Doesn't work that well
My hair is pretty dark and the colour didn't really pop. You can see slight red-ish highlights at the ends of my hair under certain light but overall it looks black. Maybe if you hair is a bit lighter it will catch better. Nontheless it didn't have the results that it claims to have since it says that it's for dark hair and my hair barelly has any difference after using the product. The box also came in a bad condition but i guess it was because the delivery guy squeezed it through the postbox.

Love it! Great colour!
I really like the loreal hicolor reds. I have been using this product for about 2 years now maybe 3. They cover well. I use several different colors but mostly h8 red fire. I occasionally mix in intense red or copper red. In some of the photos my hair may look like it has some blue or purple in it but it does not that is the light from the three computer monitors that are in front of me in each of those photos. In some light my hair looks very copper orange and other light it looks very Auburn. I'm over all extremely pleased with this product. I'm not sure if L'Oreal is still making it however. I will definitely keep buying it as long as I can. Oh, and I have a lot of gray in my hair. Also I don't use 30 volume developer. I use 10-volume developer. If you have dark hair you will definitely want to use 30 volume developer especially if it's dark hair that hasn't been coloured (you really can't know what the results are going to be if you have dyed your hair a dark colour and then try putting this over it, you may want to consult a professional). Here's a little advice from someone who has covered their gray hair for over 30 years, DO NOT start at your roots (!!!) put it on your lengths first, then ends, and then put it on your roots for the last while otherwise you will get hot roots. That means that your roots will be much lighter than your ends you don't want that to happen. A mistake that I made over the years is recolouring the hair that had already been coloured before, to add a little bit of colour freshness to it, however it has gotten to be a little too dark so I'm changing my routine a little bit by using a lighter, copper red on the lengths occasionally, and red fire on the roots with a little bit of intense red added to help cover the gray. Another thing, red hair is difficult to maintain! you can't be constantly washing it and expect the colour to stay in! I only wash my hair once a week, in cold or cool water. Just keep that in mind. because my hair grows fast and it has a lot of gray in it, I have to recolour about every 3 weeks. Happy colouring!

Best Hair Dye but read on to know EXACTLY what you're getting
Best Red Hair dye I've ever used. It comes with a slight bleach in it. My hair is pitch black and it took me some trial and error with a LOT of products to get it right. On the parts of my hair where I experimented, they didn't dye as easily, but the virgin came out blood red, especially when mixed with a bit of red! It's good I bought 4 because the next day, I used the other two to redye some of the darker spots and make it all even. It really does look like a salon-quality! When the dye comes out, my hair looks brown or a bit coppery, but it doesn't bother me at all. Brown is nice. Red is a hard color to keep up with, so dying the hair every two months (maximum) is best. Every month minimum is good. As a touch up, using this product on the roots and another red dye probably from manic panic on the already dyed hair will help keep the hair healthy. It's not good to continually bleach one's hair. If you don't want a POWERFUL and STRONG bright magenta and red to be showing, you can use the other L'oreal Excel Hicolor red or magenta that is NOT hilights. The hilights branch come out brighter and stronger. I didn't know this from the beginning and mixed the two products, wondering why my black hair didn't turn red! Contrarily, you can also use a 20 developer with this hilights Magenta and it would come out very nicely but not as strong as with a 30 developer. Oh and as a last advice, to prevent any bleaching damage, organic/virgin cocoanut oil can be applied to the hair graciously as least an hour ahead of dying. This helps your hair to dye easier and prevents damage. My hair is actually softer than before I dyed it because I used it! I hope this review helps. :D
