Farberware Smart Control Nonstick Stock Pot/Stockpot with Lid, 6 Quart, Black

Love this Farberware pot, especially for making Persian rice with tahtig (crunchy crusty bottom that’s delicious). Made very well and I love the specially designed steamer in the glass lid. Heats evenly on my electric cooktop. Weight is perfect, not too heavy and certainly not to light. Nice appearance.

This pot boils quickly, washes easily, good non stick, not heavy, handles aren’t too hot with cooking. We scratched this pot within the first few weeks and the coating started chipping off in that area - it was our fault as we used a metal utensil without thinking. It was very well protected in packaging.

I added this stock pot to my kitchen for soups, stews, and larger batch cooking, and it’s been a practical addition so far. The size is generous without being awkward to handle, and it feels balanced when full. The nonstick surface works well for its intended purpose and makes cleanup straightforward, even after thicker recipes. The lid fits securely and helps retain heat, and the handles stay manageable with standard oven mitts. One thing worth noting is that, like most nonstick cookware, it benefits from gentle utensils and hand washing to preserve the coating over time. This isn’t a premium, heavy-duty chef’s pot, but it’s reliable for everyday home cooking.

I love this pot! I actually bought my first one secondhand from a thrift store and used it for a long time, even though it wasn’t in the best condition. I loved it so much that I searched everywhere until I finally found it online — I was so happy when I did! It’s perfect for steaming rice — it cooks evenly and the ventilation feature on the lid is amazing. You can flip it up to let the steam out or close it to keep all the steam inside. But here’s the one thing to watch out for: it scratches very easily. Even though it’s supposed to be non-stick, you have to be super careful. Always use silicone or plastic utensils — no metal forks or spoons. I’ve used metal utensils on other non-stick pots without a problem, but this one scratches fast if you’re not careful. Overall, it’s a great pot and I still love it — just handle it gently so it stays looking nice!

Nice feel to the cooking experience. Although, I'll recommend that size descriptions in 'Litres' as only against 'Quartz' be offered to enable international customers accurately assess their size requirements.

It's lightweight and doesn't burn. I know because I forgot some corn boiling in the pot and the corn burnt, but the pot is as good as new.
