How many times can you use it before you have to rinse it out? I do a lot of thru hikes and may not get to a toilet for days..

Multiple times, at your discretion. It is silver-infused, therefore anti-microbial and odorless. Whenever water is available, rinse and let it dry. The cloth dries up pretty quickly. While on trail, you can hang to dry on your pack. Carrying 2 pee cloths is recommended for longer trips, so you always have a spare dry one.

Can this be used as an after-poo wipe? Surely little point buying these if you have to resort to TP when you do a number two.

The CIRCE CARE pee cloth has been specifically designed to use after pee, unless you use it with a bidet. We do, however, recommend to have separate cloths for front and back. You can still save on toilet paper though.

Photos suggest to keep your peepy wipe hanging outside on your backpack so everybody can see it after use or so that dirt can get on it before use?

I not sure about dirt getting on it I don't allow dirt to get on mine I only have it hanging on outside of rucksack till it dry then it goes into rucksack mesh pocket Sometimes its hanging out longer if I've come across a stream,etc & I've washed/rinsed it I've never had any problems using it this way
