Heats and cools well, remote has great range but my one has a faulty display so not great. Fan is really good and uses only about 47w on low setting once you reach temp set.

This Whirlpool portable aircon works really well at cooling a large room down very quickly. The remote has a function called “Around U” which turns it into a thermostat you can put anywhere in the room and it beams the room temp back to the unit periodically and adjusts performance to suit. I purchased a window/door sleeve separately which allows use with a patio door. It generates quite a lot of condensation so I keep the hose attached to the top drain and run it outside with the hot air hose. The noise level is pretty loud considering it’s supposedly one of the quieter units on the market. Silent mode doesn’t really make a difference at all other than force it into Low fan speed. There is also quite a considerable “clunk” when the compressor engages and disengages which is strong enough to wake me up - and I’m a pretty heavy sleeper; strong enough to shake the machine pretty violently at times. Overall, I think it was pretty decent value for money as it was a good £200 cheaper than some other mid to top tier brands.

Does it’s job well, it cools the room quickly.

I bought this air conditioner back in may and I tried to use it in this hot weather, but unfortunately it was only hot air coming from it not even a slightest cool air, so I had to return. I was really disappointed and I think those portable air conditioners are just a waste of money.

Works well cooled large living room and was not too noisy, to sun up very pleased

Purchased in the winter so have only tried it for a short period of time. Produces a great deal of cold air so seems to work well. The hose is collapsable and when open fairly long. The window attachment is for a sash cord window. It is large but a smaller one is not sufficient for a larger room. The only downside is that it is impossible to register the guarantee either on line or by telephone. Even Whirlpool switch board can't help.

Had to send it back it was so bloody big.

item was good value for a discontinued A/C unit and was undamaged. sadly the packaging was unbelievably damaged and broken how the item was in tacked i don't known.
