I bought it for 2 reasons:1) I live in a Bortle 5/6 area and need to cut out the stray light to enhance contrast so my guide scope can do its best and 2) It does not cut the IR response which doesn't effect visual but for a guide scope, it lets the scope see through thin clouds and not lose the guide star. This is the third SVBONY UHC I own.
