Reliable and Comfortable Over-the-Calf Socks
These socks are outstanding. I’ve been wearing a pair of green socks of this style from this company for eight years—daily—and they’ve held up remarkably well. These are not the very contoured type of sock. After finally finding the equivalent in brown, I will be switching all my work socks to these. The fit is excellent, with a true over-the-calf design that stays up all day without slipping. Despite their thickness, I do not have soggy feet at the end of the day, even in the conditions of the southwestern region. They provide solid warmth in moderate cold but aren’t suitable for extended exposure to extreme cold. Overall, a durable, comfortable, and well-made sock that delivers exactly as promised.

Last-all-day comfort
Best socks ever! Genuine last-all-day comfort. I've worn these on hikes up to 20 miles, used a total of 3 pairs for a 9-day backcountry trek in the high Rockies, and wear them daily as an active duty Soldier

Sizes
I have been using the fox river over the calf socks for the last month for my walks. These are normally 3.5-5 mile deliberate walks (not runs) depending on the day. I needed to shift to compression socks per the Doctors orders and the "medical" brand just did not work for me. I got these on the recommendation of the YouTube "gritty soldier" vlogger. They are really good socks. Compression works great. My feet are really happy and they actually do fight the fatigue. Definitely will by more if the hold up over time. One note. I have size 13 feet and the first pair I purchased were XL. They were a little too large. I can still use them without any problems but the foot part is just a little too big nd come up over my knee. I purchased a second pair that was L and they fit like a glove. Perfect on the foot and stop just below the knee.

Fox River won me over.
My feet are a size 11-1/2 wide/extra wide. I'm 5'11" with a 30-31" inseam, so my legs aren't terribly long. I was looking for a comfortable, well-made, light-medium weight, over-the-calf boot sock, preferably made in the USA; And I discovered Fox River. I purchased XL's, although L's would have likely been a better fit lengthwise. Nothwithstanding, they were worth the expense. They tend to be a bit heavier like a Bates uniform sock, but they are a much better fit and more comfortable. I will miss the 5.11 brand that fit so well in a pair of western boots, but their quality is no longer there. I'm pretty brutal on footwear, easily blowing through a pair of USA Red Wing or USA Chippewa logging boots every two years, so I'll be interested to see how well these perform in that amount of time.

Current favorite!
A really good boot sock option! Feels comfortable and fits around the calf well (my Under Armor ones feel much too tight) and stays up. My only complaint is that they look like they've gotten snagged up pretty quickly, there are little threads sticking up along the tube portion and I haven't worn or washed them much. Overall highly recommend them!

Socks work
I bought these on a recommendation from a relative. I have worn them for work since receiving them and I can say they are comfortable and there was a decrease in swelling in my feet from a combination of sitting and standing all day. The tension in the sock around the calf is just enough to promote circulation without struggling to get them on like regular compression socks I would normally use. Thickness is good, being in a hot climate they did not seem uncomfortable. I will be ordering another pair soon.
