Yes...if you look for Threebond products you'll find similar sealers and better information (Synthetic rubber/RTV/Silicone based) , Threebond 1104 is grey in color Like Yamabond 3 and has a 150deg. Celsius max temp, Threebond 1215 is also grey in color and has 250deg Celcius max temp...I believe Threebond makes the Yamabond 3 , it just gets private labeled...I use Yamabond 3/Threebond 1215 on all my engine cases since the 70s, works great...the Threebond brand may have a cost savings when compared to yamabond 3...both are kinda gooey to work, a Popsicle stick may help you spread it on mating surfaces prior to assembly...a little goes a long way...hth

Can I use on crank case on dirt bike.

I used the product on my Yamaha golf cart engine. It is for sealing a split case engine. Have not had any leakage. thx, John

Yes and I think it's the best sealant there is! I use it on air cooled split case vw's and it works awesome!

Can this be used on valve cover gaskets to help seal ?

yamabond is normally used in a metal to metal sealing application....like between sealing two engine cases together ( typical in motorsport applications)...for valve covers on American cars...I suggest Permatex "The Right Stuff" P/N 85224 ( about $22)...Amazon has it listed...most factory OEMs use this Permatex product for their valve cover sealing on V-8 and V-6 engines...hth

Best univeral RTV you can buy

I discovered Yamabond when I was a Yamaha tech in the 90's. It's all I use from then to now. It blows every other RTV out of the water, both in sealing and cleanup. If you ever have to open something up sealed with Yamabond, you can clean it off with a shop rag. It will ball up and roll off. No need to get out the razor blades and chisels and gouge the sealing surfaces. Bonus points for NEVER curing in the tube. Nothing worse than thinking you have sealant at midnight just to learn you have a hardened tube that solidified. With this stuff you get ever drop. Even if it takes a year to use it. It and Yamabond5 (and 6B now) are all I use. Cost more money but they flat out work.
