It is evident from the picture that the jack wasn't fully seated and needed to be pushed in one more click - I don't know for sure, but perhaps this may have been the source of trouble, especially since the reviewer reported the same issue with both units. Be sure you snap the jack all the way in until the outer housing of your headset and the adapter are in full contact and flush with one another. I'm quite happy overall with this purchase and it seems like a good value.

I purchased this for my Samsung A16. It worked great until the last update. It appears the operating system now no longer supports this adapter. I am very sad this no longer works.

Worked perfectly! For the value, even if lasts for a few months, we have another one or if she loses it, which is more likely than it breaking. My daughter can use her headphones with her new iPad now and the entire car doesn’t have to hear Frozen 2 for the 1000th time. Yay!

Items seems good, but I bought it specifically to connect a shotgun mic 3.5mm cable to my iPhone 17 pro USB C port. I tried both dongles, reversed them, tried using both options that the iPhone gives you via pop-up (are these headphones or something else), and nothing worked. It seems that this item isn't made for microphones, but only headphones? On close inspection, item description doesn't mention if the dongles are TS/TRS/TRRS, etc... so would be good to clarify. Items I was trying to connect: iPhone 17 pro USB C port with a 3.5mm TRS pin MOVO shotgun mic. The mic worked previously with an apple lightning dongle to my iPhone 12 pro, so was really disappointed this didn't work, and certain that the mic is in working order.
