Love the challenge the puzzle pieces offer to any reader.

Bob books have been a favorite since recommended to my daughter about 11 years ago. They have since disappeared in to the black hole that little kid stuff falls into for hand-me-downs. Nice treat from Santa, and builds his confidence because we can each read each other a bed time story! Play board is cool, he can play himself or sometimes with help

I've been a huge fan of BOB books and taught my now ten-year-old how to read using them. But now I'm going through the same process with my four year old and the same methods that worked for my son are not working for my daughter. With the BOB books alone, she lost interest. So I was glad to see them combine the BOB books with Versatiles. I think it's been a success in that she's more interested. There's the whole tactile component that appeals to her - she loves putting the tiles where they belong and then flipping it over to see if the design matches. My only wish, and the only reason it's not 5 stars, is the workbook with the Versatiles is very thin. I wish they provided more activities and more opportunities to learn. Otherwise, we've been very happy with this

I bought Bob books to teach my middle child. It didn’t come with the fun learning board though. So this is much more fun for my youngest.

Bob books are the BEST books for beginning readers. My son loves these! They start out very easy with simple repetitive word patterns to help teach them sight words and word family ties. As the books progress they build on the words learned in the previous books. Highly recommend this set as it also has the workbook and letter tiles for extra practice. My son is 4 and reading like a champ!
