I have two Chihuahua mixed breed dogs, who without these would be chewing up my house. Yes, pieces have broken off, but they aren’t consuming the broken pieces. I just pick up the broken pieces and throw them away. One of the dogs tried keeping both bones, so I am purchasing more, and I believe they will become too small at some point and have to be replaced. We also have the harder bones and the ones for consuming. But these seem to make them very happy and even calm. With the additional benefit of providing some dental support, I will keep buying. Nylabone is a trusted brand that has been around as long as I can remember.

This little nylabone has held up as long as any chew for our little Dachshund. She is a fairly aggressive chewer and will select a favorite toy to keep with her. While she loves squeaky toys, they tend to become silent quickly with her aggressive chewing and she reverts back to her little blue bone. So far it has not broken into pieces or left remnents across the floor, only kept her occupied for hours on end. I would recommend to anyone with a puppy or aggressive chewer. Just be sure to select the right size for your baby.

It’s great to find a chew toy that my dog loves and our vet approves of. Always have a new one ready for when it eventually gets too small.

This is a very bad quality of Nylabone Toys. I bought chewing toys from Amazon for many years. This particulate toy was breaking into multiple pieces after 2 applications. My dogs are toy poodles 5.5 and 10 pounds. They are not excessive chewers. The pieces from this toy were pretty big compare with those I used to find on the floor here and there when they were chewing other Nylabone toys. I removed this toy immediately. I still do not know if they swallowed any of these particles. My dogs are smart enough to push broken pieces from their mouth, but with such many pieces it may be impossible to spit them all out. I would recommend for dog owners to watch their pets very close when they chew Nylabone toys. Amazon should request this manufacture to look into this problem because it constitutes a serious safety hazard.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Puppy loved it.....so much.....but for basenji...no. These dogs are too aggressive for that chew toy!

Good and sturdy

I would buy these again. However... it is important to not give these to a dog without supervision! A dog can chew them up quite easily and get chunks off. My dog likes chewing on these and I think it has helped keep tartar down on the teeth, but, I take it away when I'm not in the room since it usually ends up in chunks.

Our dog LOVES these bones, and while they were great when he was a teething puppy, they hardly last at all now that he has his adult teeth. As other reviewers have posted, the small nubs rub off pretty quickly, followed by increasingly large chunks on the ends. I check the bone regularly, but he goes through these so quick now that it's basically a one or two sitting toy, which is just wasteful and a shame. Still in the market for something that massages his gums and teeth without completely falling apart. Definitely don't want him to choke on pieces or have them get stuck in his tummy. Watson is a 15lb mini schnauzer dachshund terrier mutt mix, as far as we can tell.

The only hard wearing usesful teething bone for small toy breed of dogs that I would recommend. The tips provide comfort for teething dogs and help keep gums and teeth clean. I have used these on my present and previous dogs and find they are reliable and the dog returns to it time after time. one thing to moonitor is some of the tips become almost detachable and may need to be nipped off with scissors. Though if swallowed by the pup are small enough not to cause any digestive issues or choking. Calue wise not the cheapest but in my view the best.
