What's not great to say about the quality of Park Tools
As a bike mechaanic who’s purchased dozens of PARK TOOL FR-1.3 Freewheel Removers for Shimano freewheels, I can’t recommend this tool enough! It’s incredibly durable, it fits Shimano and compatible freewheels perfectly. The 12-spline design ensures a secure grip, making removal quick and effortless, even on stubborn freewheels. Its compact size is easy to handle, and it pairs seamlessly with a 1-inch wrench or vise for those had to remove freewheels. After heavy use, it shows no signs of wear. For the price, the FR-1.3 is a reliable, high-quality tool that’s a must-have for any bike mechanic!

Park Tool FR-1.3 Freewheel Remover
This tool works excellent and made it easy to change the Freewheel on my Ebike . I removed the tire and got out my 12” Crescent wrench and the Freewheel removal tool and it was done in nothing flat . I highly recommend this tool if you’re going to be removing your Freewheel mine was a Shimano . Price was good , should last a long time , compatible with most old style screw on freewheels . Professional quality and always good to have handy for the DIY’er bicycle repairs .

Great tool for removing freewheel
Parktool is the best. Very well made and locked into my old 6 speed screw on freewheel so I could remove it to swap for a new one. Tool is solid and longer than cheaper clones. This helps it get a good seat inside to freewheel and put some pressure on without slipping.

It does what it's supposed to do..
I'm no expert. This is one of the first bicycle specific tools I've ever needed to purchase. I have a 30+ yr old Araya rim with a Shimano MF-Z012 6-speed Freewheel. Shimano makes a tool to remove this freewheel but it's 2-3x as expensive. Was worried that this Park Tool wouldn't work.... but it does! Made sure the tool was fully inserted. Locked down the crescent wrench and put some serious elbow grease into it and ... viola! Appears well made. Internal diameter allows it to fit over axle bolts.

Great fit. Didn’t break.
Did what it was intended to do. All you need is a 1” socket or a good crescent wrench and a steel pipe for leverage.

An excellent addition to any bike toolkit
Had to remove a stuck freewheel from an old bike. This tool seems to be the ‘benchmark’ for removing freewheels, and for good reason, A world of difference between this and other cheaper Chinese imitations. The other ones all have soft steel, which deforms and slips once pressure is applied. Save yourself money and time - buy this one.

das perfekte Tool für Schraubkränze am Radnabenmotor
Ich habe einen Radnabenmotor am Hinterrad und den typischen 7-fach Schraubkranz (so wie bei sehr vielen günstigen E-Bikes oder E-Bike Kits. Ich wollte den gegen ein 9-Fach Schraubkranz tauschen. Leider ist die Radachse so dick und so lang, dass ein normaler Abzieher nicht drauf passt bzw. nicht greift. Man müsste einen herkömmlichen Abzieher also entweder umständlich aufbohren oder man nimmt einfach diesen hier, denn der passt perfekt!

Tijdens gebruik blijft de FR‑1.3 stevig zitten zonder te slippen, zelfs wanneer er flink wat kracht nodig is om een vastzittende cassette los te krijgen. Dat geeft vertrouwen en voorkomt onnodige beschadigingen aan de fiets of je knokkels. Voor een relatief lage prijs krijg je de kwaliteit die Park Tool al jaren onderscheidt. Dit is zo’n gereedschap dat je maar één keer hoeft te kopen en waar je jarenlang plezier van hebt. Een absolute aanrader voor elke proffesionele- en thuismonteur.
