I’ve been using these for years, they’re the best out there. I’ve tried many other brands but nothing beats these. Perfect for heavy days or nights, easy to insert, couldn’t be happier with them.

My goodness, I wish I could tell everyone about these. If you ever have an awful heavy flow (I get this once every 6 months or so), you've probably tried the Playtex Ultra, which were the only ones that made me feel even half-way secure. But they gradually got harder and harder to get (the most I spent on one box of Playtex Ultra was £68 which is absurd, but when you're desperate, you'll give anything that's asked) and then suddenly you couldn't get them at all. I spent HOURS scouring the internet, and according to Playtex, Walmart and Rite-Aid in the US have pretty much bought all of their dwindling stock (supply chain issues, apparently) so I was even willing to import them from the US, except Walmart and Rite-Aid didn't have any available to buy online, anyway. Not gonna lie: I went into a bit of a panic, and you'll only know what that specific panic feels like if you also suffer from debilitatingly heavy flow sometimes, and suddenly face the idea of not being able to get suitable tampons. So I went looking, and read into about 20 different kinds... I finally stumbled across these and I was sceptical because when you're loyal to a specific product, it doesn't really occur to you that something else might be just as good but, truly, the o.b Super+ Extra Protect might be even better. They don't have an applicator which I normally hate but it's no bother. They're a better shape than the Playtex - more comfortable to wear - and I think they're more absorbent. The Super+ each hold 15g - 18g, but o.b make one that can hold 18g - 21g - I don't know where to get those, though. The Extra Protect come with a sort of "skirt" or wings attached and I didn't understand what that was for but it's incredibly clever (and, if you're a dude, or you're squeamish, skip ahead to the next paragraph now) because if your heavier flow tends to be more clotty, the skirt/wings catch all of it, somehow. It just makes everything less messy. It's hard to describe but I went from sceptic to true believer after one period. So, aye. Honestly, can't sing their praises enough. I saw so many people on the Playtex website begging Playtex to make the Ultra available again, and I wish I could tell them all about these ones. But if you're in the same boat I was, please rest assured: these really might be the answer. They definitely were for me.

Great product, the best

Suffered every month using tampax. Pain and leakage. Now I get no leaks, and can enjoy my life again over those few days.

These are perfect for heavy flow days. They handle the worst days with ease and even though on my worst days I have to change them every 3-4 hours they help me have peace of mind and be comfortable at least. They are easy to insert and I never had problems with them.
