To be honest, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this tripod. It is solidly designed and built and everything functions smoothly. It has enough mass to stand firmly, yet is light enough to pack around. A very good value. As with most similar tripods, it has a 5/8-11 male threaded fitting. I bought an adapter from Amazon so that I could also use equipment with a 1/4-20 female connection. Very happy with this purchase.

Incredibly sturdy. I've taken off the carrying strap as it makes clamping one of the legs very awkward.
