It will. I use it with my 60D. But remember the actual focal length will be 136mm (85mm x 1.6 crop factor).

How does the photo quality compare to the Canon 85mm f/1.8?

The glass is not the same glass used in a canon lens but it is definitely sharpe it truly depends on the person behind the camera not so much the glass
