These connectors were perfect for a little project I had in mind! They were easy to use and they worked as intended with the equipment I had.

I ordered a NULL modem cable that I thought would work for my needs but did not. Unsure why. So I ordered these and then harvested a CAT5e stranded copper patch cable to create my own null modem cable using these parts. It worked perfectly the first time!

Using these on a packet radio that runs 24/7. This is so much easier than soldering a tight connector, and I can change the wires around quickly.

I bought a usb serial cable that had ferule terminations. Ferules don't really fit well in this device, but tinned wire is fine.

I bought a piece of radio equipment which came with a standard DB9 plug. I had to attach 9 wires to this plug. I tried and ended up melting the pins. I then discovered this breakout DB9 connector. It was an answer to my prayers. Instead of trying to solder those wires all I had to do was screw each wire into this new DB9 plug. It has worked flawlessly and I would highly recommend this product. It saved me an enormous amount of aggravation.

The "4male" kit worked great for wiring up my stepper motors with a Gecko G540

So I got these to make installing multiple RS232/db9 connections from a scale indicator to a PC that has 4 serial ports. Connecting the cable to the plug and securing it was fairly easy. How the industrial PC I'm using has Com ports that are close to eachother, and with a standard soldered db9, there's no issue. With this product they're too wide to plug in side-by-side, for a single com port connection, these work fine and are easy to remove.
