So considering this was my first experience with henna in any form or fashion, I must say this was super easy and I'm very impressed. I wasn't looking to lighten my hair or drastically change the look. I had a few greys, and as a spritely 35, I'm just not ready for that! I did a decent amount of research and knew I didn't want to do anything permanent. I also wanted something that wouldn't strip my hair. I'm 4 months postpartum and the postpartum hairloss is REAL! I looked up a few different kinds and found this option. I was fully prepared to mix and add yogurt, and sit and wait and blah blah blah but this is pretty much ready right out of the box. My only complaint is that it doesn't come with gloves, but it's not so much of a deal breaker as to knock a star off. It was sooo easy and I left it on for about an hour. I literally just put on a Netflix show and set a timer. My husband helped me rinse it out and we rinsed until the water ran clear. I let it air dry and then heat styled it. It came out like a deep chocolate brown with a hue of red but not too much. My greys are non-existent (there weren't that many to begin with but still) BE AWARE: Your nails will look super dirty after scartching your head for the first few days. This grossed me out until I realised it was the henna. Will try some other colors when this one lightens up (don't judge my struggle strands!)

I love this product! I have been using it for about 2 years and it's so comfortable to use. The advantages are many: 1) It will not strip your hair of color and ruin it like other colors do 2) It gives you very natural hues, depending on your original hair color. Do not expect it to color hair that was too dark to begin with, it will not work for that, but if your hair used to be blonde or light brown, it will work 3) You can use a little bit and then close the bottle and reuse it over and over until you are done with it 4) No mess. If you make your clothes dirty, it will wash away eventually, because it is not permanent. 5) You can mix it with other colors of the same line 6) If you make a mistake, you can wash it away or cover it with a different color 7) When it starts fading, it does so gradually not suddenly, so you have time to reapply before the whites show 8) It covers most of my white hair (I have about 30% whites 9) I leaves your hair soft 10) It contains natural ingredients and does not smell Disadvantage: It is supposed to last for about 8 weeks, but it starts fading after the third shampoo, even though it hangs in there for another maybe 3-5 shampoos. You solve the problem by reapplying. I totally recommend this Surya Brasil product!

This is exactly what I was looking for as far as a product goes: easy to use, natural, not over the top. My light brown hair was almost completely white/gray in the front and ash blond/with a little dark blond in the back. My hair turned out a pretty shade of goldish blond, definitely not ash. I only left it on for 30 minutes or so which is the minimum recommended time; I suspect the orange-hair horror stories left it on for the full 60 minutes and I might well be in the group if I had done that. The color didn't look like Ash Blond from the bottle, and I checked the bottle and box several times because I honestly thought there was a chance it was mixed up with another color. Now, I just think there is a chance they had a manufacturing snafu and shipped a lot of mislabeled product. I don't know about longevity yet, but I did not want color that lasts so I am hopeful it will start to soften and fade with each wash, but I only wash my hair every 5-7 days, so it may take a while. This is the only product I found that lasts longer than the temporary, one-shampoo products (and those are mostly art colors, not hair colors) and semi-permanent products containing harsh chemicals.

I’m highly allergic to permanent hair dye but I don’t react to Surya Brasil Henna Cream and I’ve tried many of their colors. I wash my hair, towel dry it, apply the product and cover my head with a plastic cap. I allow it to remain on my hair for 75 minutes and then rinse it out. My favorite color is Golden Brown but, over time, it wasn’t covering my gray hair for long. After just a few washes, it was mostly stripped from my hair. I switched to Dark Brown, which covered my grey hair very well and lasted a long time, however it was too dark for the first two weeks. I decided to give Golden Brown another shot after not using it for about 2 years. It doesn’t say on the package that it’s a new and improved formula however I’m impressed with how much better it is. It’s covering my grey hair for weeks on end. I’m happy with the coverage and longevity so I’ll continue to use this shade. Great product for people who are allergic to permanent dye.

Product was nearly black on hair. This is not Golden Brown, not even close.

Hair literally feels amazing after using surya henna, my curls are more defined than ever and the coulor is beautiful and full of nuances. Gives a natural look without looking dull and boring. I used the Golden brown on some bleached hair and results are stunning, no weird coulor or green of any sorts.

I am a regular purchaser of this product. Gentle on scalp, fades away gradually without demarcation line.
