A few hiccups along the way, but completely worth it
Since I purchased this product smack in the middle of quarantine, the sellers most likely had reduced staff which led to a few hiccups getting the product to me. However, the wait was well worth it. After several uses I have come to absolutely love the Black Widow due to is very solid feel and ease of use. I have a few double sided safety razors that excel in cleaning up my stubble, I purchased the Black Widow to be a precision blade to detail around my face and hairline. It has performed wonderfully, so much so that I am truly glad I chose this product. Pros: -Solidly built, feels like a tank (I own a Feather AS-D2 which will outlive me, trust... this razor is well built) -Aesthetically pleasing -Easy to clean -Tactile (really like the feeling of control) Cons: -The clasp that holds the blade is a little finicky, holds the blade securely (which is VERY good) but is a pain to open -Slight learning curve, which is standard with these types of razors but as this was my first I nicked myself a few times due to no fault of the Black Widow. Just fat fingered it across my face -The blades the razor comes with leave a lot to be desired. I recommend switching them to a preferred brand. Personal recommendation are the Feather Hi-Stainless double sided blades. TL;DR : The Black Widow is highly recommended, but the blades should be swapped. Well constructed and easy to use with a little practice.

Stellar quality and easy to use straight razor.
This barber straight razor feels top notch in stylish appearance and made quality. I really liked the ease of use of the straight razor with the disposable blades. It was very simple to setup and start using. The ergonomic feel, handling and maneuverability of the handle was very comfortable and efficient. I used this barber straight razor to do line up work on my beard and for the shaving of all my neck beard hairs. I definitely would recommend this stellar product, to both the experienced and novice user alike.

Its very ok! Would buy again
TL;DR 1. Black Widow razor blades are bleh. I prefer Astea or Shark. Although if you only have peach fuzz or thin facial hair it will probably work ok... maybe. Not a tough guy flex at all. A tough guy would have laughed at the hair pulling, redness, and the razor burn. I am NOT a tough guy 2. If you are just getting into straight razor shaving, you want a new razor spine that feels pretty solid and just takes a while to get used to, or you want something reliable you don't really want to build attachment to; get this razor. It does the job. Its got a coating that will protect it from water damage- thats a very real thing even with stainless steel spines or if you live by salt water- and its got a good weight to it for an inexpensive tool DOUBLE EDGED RAZORS: So razors are sold single and double edged. The double-edged ones have to be snapped in half, a barber will show you how, and there are tons of videos. Look how to snap it in half BEFORE you try it yourself Real Review: Two part review. 1st part the razor blades, the second part the spine. 1. The Black Widow razor blades aren't the best. Brand new blade, lots of tug. I'm Latino, with the traditional 50/50 Euro/Native blend. But my facial hair is more European growth where I have a shadow several hours after I shave, a goatie after 3-5 days without shaving. Just to give an idea on the facial hair growth and thickness. So new razors on 1 day old stubble, wet with shaving soap, just unwrapped, they tug, pull; they also leave a bunch of stubble and redness behind. I went through another razor in case it might have been a bad one, but that one was bad too. I just threw away the box. Get Astra or Shark blades. Remember sharp blades cut what you need to cut. Dull blades cut you. The spine itself is easy to use. I really like the textured back of the spine. The joint is really stiff, so wherever your blade is, it will stay there. I'm used to a more of a "flow" at the joint. So I open the tool and make a 90° angle, its going to stay there instead of move with the weight. Putting the blade in is easy, and the clamp is secure. I like the coating, it has a solid feel to it and, for what it is, it feels sturdy; which is always a good thing. It has a finger groove in front of the blade which appears cool, protect your digit. But when trying to get certain angles it throws my grip off a bit- but that's just repetition.

You cannot go wrong.
I ordered one just off a whim. I have since ordered 2 more for my brothers because I liked it so much. The fact that the razor is cheap, and the blades even cheaper are almost worth it on its own. The razor is super easy to use, clean, store, and as gross as it sounds, to share as well. The disposable blades make it perfectly safe for others to use in an emergency situation. I wouldn't advise sharing all the time, as you will lose time to use it yourself. This was my first straight razor, and I will probably never have or want to order another. I don't give 5 star reviews a whole lot, purely for the fact that a product can be the best in the world, but if there is no customer service behind it, it is not worth it. These guys will take care of you and all of your needs. Amazon needs to give a customer service rating as well. This company has it all and a great product. Thank you! Other useful info: -I don't always shave my whole face, usually I just clean up my beard and do my neck. I can usually get 3+ uses out of each blade. If I shave my whole face I could use the blade more than once, but I usually don't, as I like how close a shave the new blades give. -The razor will "rust" if you don't do a quick rinse and dry after use. BUT, even if it does rust, because of the great craftsmanship, it is easily cleaned. A bit of a scrub and the razor will look brand new. I have no doubt it will last years and years with even poor care. -Lastly, if you need a gift for a guy (or girl, I don't discriminate) this is a fantastic one. Cheap, easy, and the shipping is on time, every time!
