I purchased this because I cut the wire to my robot lawnmower and could not find the break. This helped find the break quick and easily without the need to dig up the entire wire.

used this to rewire home intercome system, was very helpfull to identify and confirm continuity of flat six wire nutone ugh.

From the buttons to the plastic to the switches, this is exceptionally badly made. There is no light on the probe so you don't know if it's on or off. Swapped batteries twice and still couldn't get this to work. Returning for a refund.

The tone generator worked, it is very cheaply made but it worked for tracing down an electrical line. You have to buy 2, 9 volt batteries for it to work. Which makes the total price higher as 9 volt batteries are not that cheap.

Needs better instructions on functions

Great tool especially for the price. As a doing yourself home owner this is very handy for small projects that I can tackle.

Used to trace a short dc wire in a car. It was like 3' long, it worked for that. When I tried to do network or a/c wiring, i couldn't pick up a signal more than a few feet away.

I can trace both household connections and hobby circuits with it. Works well.

Very weak product. Was completely useless. DO NOT BUY.
