Pitaka has been my main go-to when it comes to my Apple products. I have purchased my phone cases from them ever since the iPhone 12. The way they create the lightest and thinnest products amazes me. I now have used their Airpod case, watch protective shell (also shown in my pictures), car magnetic phone holders, and their newest Magsafe desktop and portable charger. I love the carbon fiber look of all the products and their new lines of different designs have elevated the product look. They offer a black carbon fiber look of this band but the one I purchased is a special edition Dreamland design. It reminds me of an 8-bit video game pixel look. It is a great alternate design for my outfit of the day. The special edition also came with this cool Rubik's cube that also gives me that nostalgic feeling of the 8-bit gaming era. The packaging is deluxe and everything came in, the instructions were clear to me on how to resize the band to fit my wrist, and it also came with extra parts in case the locking mechanism on the band wears out or you want to add a link if it comes to small. I was able to remove two links with ease and the product looks and feels great. It is lightweight and the magnetic clasp helps when putting the band on and when it locks in place it does not feel like it will come unclasped with use. The only hope I would have for the company in their future of Apple bands is if they would make a reversible watch band. As you can see from the pictures, the underside of the band is black carbon fiber, I thought at first when I opened the product that it was going to be reversible due to that fact. However, the way the hinges work it wouldn't be possible. I am not sure if it can be possible to make it reversible in that way but I can hope!

Received 9/15. One of the bands was loose in the Amazon package, which kinda spoiled the surprise of opening it. The manufacturing package is held together by a cardboard lid and magnets which must have creased open and fell out in transit. I was surprised by the color at first, the blue is much more vibrant in pictures. It may do better in direct lighting though. It’s hard to see the color gradient in low light, it’s very subtle. The white band definitely stands out. The directions were minimal on how to adjust the length. Almost lost a couple links when it springs open. I think this is a common problem for this style watch band. Annoying, but you only have to do it once. It looks nice and wears nice. The magnet clasp has a lock on it and snaps around the wrist nicely. Very light but looks and feels incredibly durable. It beats many Apple Watch bands for looks and style at the same price point. The darker colors better match the black Ultra 2. The price is my only concern. It doesn’t quite look like a $100 band. $70 would be better, 50 if other companies were making similar products. This is the only company making this style and material that I could find. Will I get complements on it? It doesn’t stand out as much as I hoped. But as an everyday wear that is classy, a bit design forward without over doing it, it’s perfect.

This purchase was a bit of a saga for me, but I would not hesitate to purchase from this company again. Please see below for the full review of a good unit and a defective unit Update 2/21/23 - Pitaka replaced my band with another unit in the first week of February. I have extensively tested the second unit and am extremely happy with the quality improvement and durability. I'm uncertain what happened to the first unit, but this second unit has survived daily wear, wrenching on a car, exercise, sleep, pool cleanings, being submerged in oil, and more. Obviously, none of this is recommended by me or the manufacturer, but I did want to be transparent to the abuse this is taking. I have no questions or concerns this band will hold on for dear life and keep my watch safe. Thank you to Pitaka support for the great care and excellent product. Update 1/31/23 - I was contacted by Pitaka customer support after this review with a more than satisfactory resolution to my issue. I'm retaining the one star rating pending full resolution, but I must admit, I was surprised how fast the company reached out to me with excellent customer support. Original review - 1/27/23- I've had one of every component break on this band. The first issue: the support connecting the pin to the link had a slit/gap across the entire structure. No worries, I had to take a few out for it to fit. Second issue: another support connecting the pin breaks. No worries, I still had one left from fitting Third issue: the connector piece that bridges the watch to the first carbon fiber link breaks. I do not have a spare of those. Fourth issue: while taking pictures for support, I realize the clasp will no longer function on one side and essentially a small magnet is holding my band together. I understand some people can be harder on their watches/bands than others. However, I sit in an office setting all day, play video games, cook, and do chores around the house. This thing shouldn't be breaking this often. I've had it around 60 days. If I were wearing it on a construction site or performing mechanical work in confined areas, sure, I understand, but I'm not. This band literally breaks doing the most sedentary tasks a human can perform. Since purchasing this band, I've had to switch back to my $6 nylon band several times because it holds up better and doesn't require me to interrupt my day to take apart my watch to get it to stay on my wrist. I am currently working with support to resolve these issues and attempt to determine if I have a faulty product. I'll ensure to update this review as soon as I get a resolution.

I got the Moon version watch band, 22mm wide. It’s very comfortable, with a quick-release feature that snaps easily onto your wrist. It looks stylish and elegant, and Pitaka maintains a premium look, feel, and quality in their products. You can’t go wrong with it. HAM’s store won’t disappoint you as they delivered fast most of the time base on my experience.
