FDA has banned triclosan in antibacterial hand soaps, effective September 2017. But manufacturers still add triclosan to some dish soaps, personal care products and Colgate Total toothpaste. They use it in a variety of other products, although you won’t see it on labels. To avoid triclosan and other questionable chemicals, don’t buy consumer products that claim to be “antibacterial." What health problems are associated to triclosan? Triclosan is linked to liver and inhalation toxicity. Even low levels of triclosan may disrupt thyroid function. Wastewater treatment does not remove all of the chemical, sending it into lakes, rivers and water sources, where it is very toxic to aquatic life.

Will this make my pads sticky again?

Definitely works! I purchased 6 tubes over the years, allows me to re-use the expensive hypoallergenic TENS (3 electrode pads $30!) -- just one drop onto pad, then spread out with a finger to put a very thin layer of adhesive onto the whole surface. Note: if your TENS pads have split electrodes, then don't put adhesive into the gap of the split.

I was skeptical that the liquid from this bottle would turn into adhesive goo overnight under the “seal” that protects the electrode pad. But that’s what happened and the pads have been adhering well. I used very little of the bottle to “recharge” two 2” diameter pads (from my Chirp Halo). I would guess this bottle will last for months. Much more eco-friendly and economical than buying new pads!

This works to Make your biowave pads last much longer. Breathes new life into them, VA should consider adding this to their biowave replacement pad offerings, I think this product could help vets and save money as the original pads don’t last long, the VA runs out of replacements since biowave works and the current pad refresh method instructions from VA are lacking.
