I'm a college student just looking for a board to get me around, how smooth is the ride and are there any parts that need replacing?

This board is good-to-go out of the box, in my opinion! The bearings don’t spin forever, but on flat or slight declines this thing still flies. If you’re not an experienced rider, you may want to opt for the larger version of this board for more stability. Either way, this thing is so small it will definitely make you a better boarder! The deck and trucks are strong and the wheels are actually really nice and soft enough to absorb rocks and bumps. With all that said, maybe consider replacing the bearings, but I ride it a few times first and see for yourself. I’ve kept mine stock and it’s perfect for cruising crowded street and sidewalks as a “final mile” mode of transportation.

Can it fit in ur back pack?

It depends on the size of your backpack. It doesn’t fit in my small Patagonia backpack but it does fit into my larger ll bean backpack

I am 5’2 and shoe size 6, should I get 22” or 27”?

The point of these boards are because they are compact, I have a 22” penny board that is this size and as a 24 year old with size 9.5 shoes and I have used it to travel to other countries and ride the streets. It’s a smooth ride like a long board but compact so it’s easy for flight travel. If you have decent balance, the size shouldn’t matter, it’s meant for a convenient cruise
