How large of a bolt can it be used on?

An 8" Crescent will open to 1-1/8" But if the nut tightened correctly the largest nut I would use an 8" wrench on would be 5/8".

It is 1/2” jaw width opening.

Pretty sure it's china. I don't remember for sure though. The mouth wasn't wide enough.
