I bought 2 of these last year and they were hit and miss. I thought something may be wrong with my Illy y3.3. the water just sprays inside the machine and makes a huge mess. I changed the gasket in the machine. I experimented with the grind of the coffee. It had to be really loosely added to the capsule and ground pretty coarse. That made the espresso terrible. There was no way the coffee could be "tamped" and the capsule could work. I decided to buy this little kit thinking maybe it was the 2025 capsule defect. Sure enough The capsules in this kit are just a little different made than the capsule i bought one year ago. These work very well in my Illy. No "blowouts" I did contact the seller to see if they could exchange the 2 capsules that I purchased last year for 2 that actually work and sadly they said NO. best wishes. So if you tried these previously before the modifications and they didn't work well. the latest design is better for sure.

Coffee needs to be packed tight otherwise there is no crema. Allows me to use different coffees with my illy espresso maker.
