Review: Perfect For The Utility Room - Our utility room taps were well over 30 years old, and the mechanism was very worn, often spinning for several turns without doing anything before the water began to flow, and needing to be turned off quite hard to prevent dripping. From previous experience, I much prefer taps with quarter-turn ceramic disc valves, they last well - the valves are normally good for many years of frequent use and aren’t too hard to replace when they eventually begin to wear out. I’ve had several Bristan taps over the years, and they’ve all worked well, with spares easy to obtain on the rare occasions they were needed, so they were the first place to which I turned to look for a suitable replacement. These fitted our needs very well. They are easy to use, look simple but modern (not that looks were important to us, in a utility room), and were very good value-for-money. All round, we’re pleased.
