How does the steam escape when using as microwave spatter cover?

Hello, thank you for your questions, this silicone cover is very good, so you can preserve food. You can release steam when you need to open the silicone cover when you use the microwave.

I can't get these to adhere. What am I doing wrong?

Once a pot is not boiling or after pouring a mug of hot tea/cider place the silicone cover on top and give gentle push in center and it will seal. I can even pick up my mugs from center spot after adherence. Suction!

Can I use to keep grease from splattering on cooktop?

I agree with the other answerer: a mesh screen will do a better job at doing what you’re asking for. Another thing to look into is a silicone splatter (or splash) guard. It’s like a huge funnel that surrounds what you’re trying and creates a tall wall that can prevent oil from piping out of your frying pan and onto your cooktop.

Can I use this for canned cat food?
