I followed the instructions and removed the rubber insert in my car prior to installing the charging pad. I have a 2022 X3 and it fits perfectly. I am able to close the compartment even with my phone on the pad. Love it!

Barely gets the job done. VERY slow charge.

This works well and charges the phone. It is a little bulky and takes up almost the entire section where it fits leaving little room for anything else.

The fit of this charger in my 2019 X3 is good, but that is about it. I am not sure if mine is defective, but it really more just maintains the charge the phone already has while using Apple Carplay. It may go up a few percentage points over time but that is about it. Also the unit seems to run pretty hot, so I worry a little about that. All in all I probably would not order again.

After installing this charger in my BMW X3 which to took a while to get the extra wire hidden so the charger would fit in place, I found I can't use it with my phone case which defeats the purpose. In order to get it to work I have to remove my phone case or I just get a blinking light and no charge. It says it works with the iphone 12 pro max. Just don't tell you have have to remove your phone case and it uses the only usb port that allows you to add to your hard drive in the car so if you want to add music to your car's hard dive you have to remove the charger every time. There are better models of a charger out there but they are a little more expensive but maybe worth the money. Just mad I didn't find out until after my return window had closed.
