A Really Good Miniature Version Of A Construction Machine
I got this for a 4 y.o. grandson and it's exactly what I wanted for him. It's taking awhile but he's getting the hang of the simple controls. It is very maneuverable and at a speed that's appropriate for a construction machine. The detailing is good; it looks just like a real front end scoop. The control has one toggle for each side's drive wheels; each makes it's side go forward and backward which is how you turn it. The scoop has an up button and a down button. The scoop tips on it's own when you get near the upper height. From what I've seen it works equally as well on short carpet as well as on hard floor. I'm surprised how "grippy" the tires are on hard surfaces. I can't say anything about longevity after two weeks but I do have two small negatives. First the rechargeable main battery pack (which is much better than disposable batteries) has to be taken out of the machine to be recharged. Second the scoop tips quicker on it's way up than I prefer which keeps you from using it's full height. All-in-all this is a toy that a lot of kids, and quite a few adults, would enjoy.

Sturdy and cool
Stands up well to my 2yr-old who likes to see how things fall down. It's part metal - part hard plastic. Feels very solid. (it's not even apparent which parts are plastic without close examination. Soft tires make it fun over various surfaces. Only not-so-complaint is battery. Wish it was lithium. This thing eats through NiMH battery pretty quick with it's AWD and high-grip tires.

Well Built
Being made of metal and plastic, this toy is well made, and is quite durable. The controls all work well, and the movements are smooth. This toy would have a 5 star rating if only the bucket tilted up higher. The buckets movement/position is dependent with the position of the arms. Unfortunately, the bucket does not tilt up enough to hold most things in. Combined with the slick metal surface, nearly everything falls out of the bucket, as the arm raises. There is no point to where the bucket is tilted up high emough to keep anything securely from falling out. All in all, it's still a fairly fun toy, despite it's design flaw to actually hold things in the bucket.

what's not to like about a RC controlled front loader
Common, what's not to like about a RC controlled front loader? Without charging the battery it came with, it probably ran for a whole two hours by the time it start winning and creeping to a stop. The remote works very well, it has a pretty good range, it looks well made for 30 dollars Chinese made toy. The loader itself is pretty accurate in design and function. I don;t know how well it is gonna last to the type of abuse my kid puts it through, I know this toy is gonna have a pretty hard life (it has survived being picked up and subsequently dropped from a height of two three feet back on the floor). The wheels are driven in tandem, so the toy drives like a tank, it is very maneuverable, turns on a dime and it is fast enough moving forward or backwards to make it interesting. One design thing I don't like is the way the battery pack needs to be taken out of the "belly of the beast" and plugged into the charging cable and into a computer or laptop or anything that has a USB port. Because you need a screwdriver to unscrew the battery cover, I imagine a lot of people who buy this toy are gonna lose parts or will damage the cables for the battery because they look a bit flimsy. Also, if you ruin the battery pack, you might render the toy useless as I don't know if you can use normal batteries without some sort of modification.

Broke and not even an hour of run time
Update 9/10/2020- received a replacement from Top Race and this has the same issue. Same side clicks and loses drive. Seems like there is a tolerance issue as the gears engage and can get to a position where it will not engage. I would expect to that everyone experience this based on a random sample 2 of 2. Itโs too bad because TopRace is a good name but there are a lot of no name versions of this same toy. Itโs also too bad because itโs a really neat RC toy! I am going to modify the gear engagement with a shin and if it works Iโll post the update and fix. Original review: Well, out of the box it was working as advertised but about 35 mins of play time (over 2 days) the left side of the unit lost drive. The wheels were still connected but the motor did not dive them. This toy has only seen low carpet and hardwood floors, no rough terrain or outside. Figures, I just threw out the box.....

Waste of money
We read the reviews and were sure this is a quality product. Be aware it works for maximum of 20 minutes before battery dying. Charging is a hassle as you have to unscrew in order to get to the battery. Charging takes 2 hours for 20 minutes. Biggest mistake to have bought this.

Perfect gift, but low battery life
My 3 year old is obsessed with construction machines so we got this for him, and he LOVES it! I was worried he might have trouble figuring out the remote, but he had it down within the first few hours. My only complaint is the battery life. It only lasts for about 45 minutes, and then you have to tediously unscrew this TINY screw to get the battery pack out to recharge it. Overall I'd say it was worth the price, but having to recharge it every day is extremely annoying.

Awesome!
The TOP Race AC Front Loader remote contolled earth mover is well made. I was pleasantly surprised at how functional the remote controller is and how well engineered the front bucket is. The bucket is articulated in such a way that a you can slide into a pile of dominos, lift them up, relocate the vehicle, and dump the load. The movement is very smooth once you realize how to manage the toggle switches and buttons. The vehicle lights come on when you engage the remote control. The vehicle details are also very well done, e.g., the lug nuts on the wheels and the handles on the doors. Very nice workmanship. A very nice gift for your little road building engineer to be.
