Lumumba: Africa’s Lost Leader (Life & Times)

I never had any interest of African countries but after reading this book I feel like "Saul" from the bible. It seems like the author (Leo) targets both the informed and the uninformed with regards to African matter. I would recommend it to all newbies and advanced readers who are interested in African matters.

We would all do well to read about the life and times of Lumumba. His vision for an independent African state is inspiring, and his demise is unbearably tragic and shrouded in mystery. If he were a westerner, there would be a dozen full length bios of him published by now. This slim volume will have to do.

How could the country be independent politically,but economically they were not independent as the Belgians were plundering their resources for their own benefit. Lumumba was standing up for his country but no one came to his aid.

Wonderful book. Excellent and informative . I've always known of his greatness, but this book has educated me further. Highly recomme

Needed for African history

This is a short description of Lumumba, his life and events surrounding his death. The writing is not great and it is pretty light on detail.
