Excellent for learning to read. We have tried the scholastic little readers, the good and the beautiful and many other readers and these are the best by far. Cute little stories and small books, perfect for learning to read. We have the whole set. Recommend for sure.

These are definitely worth what they are. Perfect and simple for my son learning to read. Not the most beautiful pictures, but the are suppose to be simple and short for children learning to read which is exactly what they are! Way better then any of the learn to read books I have tried before which were geared for new readers but just left my son feeling like he would never be able to read. He can even read the first grade books as a kindergartner, so its great for building confidence yet he struggles a touch so he still needs my help reading them.

As insipid as these books are, I've taught my girls to read using Bob books almost exclusively. This set introduces sight words along with word families (plop, glop, hop, top). Both of my daughters enjoyed the books and were very pleased when their word fluency increased. Repetition is the key to working with these books: have your child read them over and over until they read with fluidity. Your mind will go numb and you will feel the need to drink heavily afterwards, but your child will become a better reader.

Everything was in it, but it was a little disappointing that the nice presentation box was in very worn condition. The sides were torn and the back had clearly been used frequently. Everything on the inside appears to be in fine condition, so it will do its job though.

My kids really enjoyed these books. Because the pictures aren’t fully colored my 4 year old was excited to color them and then read them. The way the sight words are emphasized I believe will help the child notice the words and learn them. Overall it’s a good set of books and flash cards for our children’s education.

Our 5 year old’s reading is improving in leaps and bounds with these books! We read a minimum of three a day, so the variety in this pack is really nice. The difference in her confidence within one week of reading these has been completely worth the purchase. I also really enjoy the durable case for these books, as it helps keep them organized and protect them.

Good books but torn box. Not happy with the delivery experience
