I got it because I thought it would be a thoughtful gift. Didn't think the kids would think much of it. But they actually loved it better than their toys. The quality is better than I anticipated. It works very great and accurate. Looks expensive but is very cheap.

The presentation was very Impressive. The leather case that holds the Compass was quality material. The engraving was easy to read and perfectly stated. The actual compass containment seemed a little lower quality. However, a sentimental gift the value was definitely worth it.

I ordered this for a special milestone for my grandson and when I received it, the scripture verse that was supposed to be inside the cap of the compass was not there. So I requested an exchange, hoping it was just a glitch, but I just received the replacement and AGAIN, no Jeremiah 29:11 scripture verse as it was advertised to have! This is false advertising! The main reason I bought it was because of the scripture verse so this is very upsetting and disappointing to say the least. Also, when I received the replacement, this compass is defective with the cap not even screwing on like it’s supposed to. So clearly this company is unreliable and what you receive is not what was advertised.

This was the perfect gift! Everything about it was beautiful. My 9 yr.old grandson had a wonderful smile . Very well made. Came on time. Better than I imagined.

My original review was blocked. So short review the building quality is not bad but be aware it is glass and can arrive broken as mine did. I wish there was a granddaughter version. It works fine if you get one without broken glass. And the engraving is as it shows in the pictures. Did reorder it and the second one arrived in perfect condition.
