Schaum's Outline of Calculus, Seventh Edition

Classic calculus book

I like Schaum's mathematical series, and I have Calculus , though is a 4th edition, yet not much different from this 7th edition. A very good book, treats the subject very well, easy to understand and full of worked and solved examples I recommend for anyone wants to study Calculus The only trouble with Schaum's books, it is oversized book, A4 paper size, yet that helps to reduce page turnings

This book is perfect for reviewing calculus stuff from years ago and then also helpful as a supplement while studying calc. For calc 1 you can learn all of calc 1 through this book (I would recommend also using AI to figure out some things bc the book doesn’t explain everything) This book’s solutions examples are very good. I would use AI to help where the book doesn’t explain stuff. The book is short and sweet with its chapter lessons…this makes it dry and harder to read but at the same time there’s only a few pages max per chapter so the text sections are rewarding to read. While studying calc with a class recommended textbook, this book can be a good complement when you want to shake it up a bit or check out a topic from another perspective. The example solutions are a great thing about this book. This book helped me a lot. It’s not as easy to read as a modern class textbook. Since it’s so affordable I would recommend this book, especially to someone who’s around the calc 1 level or going into calc 2, because I believe the book is most useful at around that point in your calc journey.

The contents are good but the paper quality is bad. Its so thin I felt like I might rip it if I wrote or erased on it. I think I might refund.

This is an amazing book offering a lot of information and problems for calculus 1-3. Most problems are easy, but there are also some more challenging ones (also some challenging proofs that require more than just computation). The exposition is not that rigorous, yet it does encompass most vital aspects of each chapter. There are, though, chapters on differentiation that I found a bit lacking in terms of examples. I think this is the perfect companion to more classical and complex books, such as Spivak Calculus or Apostol, as it offers so many problems, but it shouldn’t be used as a primary source for learning. For the price, you can’t go wrong
