Having used this for around 12 months. I wanted to come back and update my review. Firstly at the price point it is very good for money and represents excellent value. The build quality seems to be good and I have had no issues with any part of this breaking/failing. The selection of tips is handy and makes the iron versatile for lists of uses. Overview: I have used this quite heavily over the last 12 months and to date have had no issues at all. I would recommend having a separate helping hand so you can position your work in a better place. Also the solder that comes with the unit I don’t rate highly. Good soldering starts with quality solder and I have found Draper solder one of the best for good clean joints. I am still using the same tip which is still in great condition and the temperature range is working great as expected. Edit 2 - it’s now June 2026, and I can say I am still using this multiple times a week. Not one problem to date proving it has a good lifespan for the money! I have now added an image, it’s been used and abused on the bench but functions flawlessly still!

I purchased this as I wanted a whole 'station' i could pick up and move on and off a shelf above my workbench without hunting for each item or having to unpack from a kit each time i needed it. The soldering stations works well for my electronics hobby needs. the magnifying glass has a light but feels a bit of a gimmick as both the glass and light are only tiny, I do like that they made this connect with no other wires so it just plugs directly into the station base. The soldering iron itself works well and has quite a bit of thermal mass so I had no issues with larger components. The soldering iron grip is comfortable and the length of the cable seems fine. I would of liked a more powerful light maybe with a fume extractor/filter instead of the magnifying glass but that's just personal preference.

This covers most for what any beginner or intermediate needs with its it temperature stabilization and sleep mode for when its not needed. The digital temperature reading i found was fairly accurate with the temperature being slightly off by a couple of degrees however, nothing substantial. This did keep a constant temperature with no oxidation after the first month of usage. This did heat up quite fast so i wasn't waiting around long before the work can be carried out. The base i found wasn't the best however, in this price range it certainly does the job it supposed to do just fine its just my previous station was a little better with a long lead. This is a lightweight base so i added some little weights to the base in order to make sure the base doesn't move during use. Overall its a very good soldering station, Its affordable for beginners or intermediates users. I used the original tip and it still conducts heat well. Its easy to use with the temperature display although it was out by a couple of degrees. For the price paid i was happy with the purchase.

I've used it for a short while. The soldering iron worked. It heats up and solders as well as my digital Weller (which I left behind in the USA). The bendy arms work quite well. The sponge could be bigger. For the price it is a very good deal.

I purchased the YIHUA 926LED-IV because I needed a replacement for my ancient soldering station, which was well passed its sell by date. Before purchasing I thought very long and very hard because a). It was Chinese b). the price was exceedingly meagre for what it was claimed to be. However, I decided to take the plunge - after all it was through Amazon and if it wasn't "up to snuff" I could return it, right? Being a Prime member, it arrived at lunchtime next day. I took it out of its box, being surprised at the sturdiness and feel of quality, and assembled it, then turned it on. Wow, it heated to operating temperature in a flash, so I prepared a couple of strands of wire and prepared to solder - and I have never been so chuffed with a piece of kit in my life! Temperature pre-sets, multiple tip choice, four helping hands, a mag light, solder reel holder, tip cleaner and receptacle and a reel of solder FOR LESS THAN FIFTY (50) QUID?!?! Needless to say, it didn't get returned! Since that purchase, I have purchased from YIHUA a 982-III C210 Precision soldering station for micro work, a 948D-I Desoldering Station, and a 959D-II Hot Air Rework Station: they are all well appointed and of excellent quality. My planned purchases from YIHUA are the 982D-I Pro 2 in 1 Hot Tweezers & C245 soldering station and the 8509-I Precision Hot Air soldering station. You could say that, on the basis of that one purchase, I have become a YIHUA fan. Champagne for Lemonade money! 5*****

Decided it was time to upgrade my many years old Weller soldering iron. I have had this new iron for several months now and it has been faultless. I like the way it gets up to the set temperture very quickly, and goes into sleep mode when not used for a while, The bits ( which include a couple of spares) are easy to keep clean and don't 'disolve' away like my old naked copper ones did. It is ideal for PCB work but I still use my old soldering iron for anything a bit bigger. The twin flexible arms with their crock clips, are ideal for holding small items and especially short lengths of solder. My only criticism is that being light weight, it would slide around a bit until I made a small tray to hold it on the bench.

Looked good, when it arrived plugged it in, switched it on all seemed working. Soldering iron heated up and melted some solder to check it. When I eventually came to use it a few months later as I had been busy with work & life, soldering iron barely heated up, couldn't melt solder even though you could swirl the dial nob to way past 300c. Left it on for about 30 minutes, still couldn't melt a bit of solder for electronics on its tip. As the old saying goes "Looks good in the shower" seems apt for everything you get with it but it doesn't work for its main purpose. To add insult to injury price has risen by £10!!
