If you have not used these pessaries before, here are a few words of advice. These do not come with an applicator, however, there IS an applicator that comes with the Canesten thrush pessary and I keep that and used it to apply these. Obviously it is cleaned thoroughly after each application and is perfect for applying these BV pessaries. These BV pessaries have a soft, waxy consistency and begin to melt quite quickly after application. Apply them like you would the thrush pessary. Do this at night time just before going to bed. And PLEASE either wear your knickers with a panty liner OR have two or three tissues layered together in the event you need to go for a wee in the night. It can get a bit messy without these things. On application this stuff can feel like it is burning, nipping and even maddeningly itchy. This means it is working to combat and kill the bacteria and it DOES pass after a few minutes so don’t panic! The relief you feel after the initial slight discomfort is amazing, and you can get a good nights sleep. Remember to complete the course and use up all seven pessaries over the week. These really are a lifesaver and I am so glad I bought them. You will be too!

So I’m very good with pain but the burning is really like no other, it did work and the relief after it is worth it but my god it burns and it stings like hell, I noticed the more times I used it that 1) if it’s not up far enough it’s going to be the strongest menthol feeling burn you’ve ever felt and 2) do not get back up for at least an hour after it if not more, I noticed I inserted it with ease not a single problem but the second I rolled over the burn would kick in but if I stayed perfectly still there wouldn’t be any issues
