Took my husband a few times to get the hang of using this, but he loves it. Does everything the ad says.

This bobbin works great. I use it to serve the end of splices for wind on leaders. Has quality drag system that allows for easy tight wraps. The only problem is the price. It's really not all that complicated a device and should probably be 2/3's or so the price. But it does that job and I don't have to worry about it.

Quality product

The best tool for making consistent pr knots- have used it on 15 lb solid braid up to 100lb hollow-core an have had zero issues. The cheaper ones tension knob would loosen while wrapping at times causing inconsistent knots.

A must have in your fishing center to tie those bobbin knots. Great product. Very well made.

From the drawings on the instruction sheet included it appears there are 21 steps to make this knot. The written portion of the instructions are in Japanese. Went to Shimano web site and could not find English instructions. Called Shimano tech support and got the old BS about higher than normal calls, how about we call you back. I know there are videos on line that don't do me any good 30 miles off shore. I do better at learning something like this with pictures and written word, not watching someone in a video. I own more than 20 Shimano reels. From 2000 size fresh water spinners to Talica 25 and everything in between. I am really disappointed in their lack of usable instructions.

This is a really amazing Tool, Helps you achieve a 100 percent Strong Knot, in just a couple of mins, using just your two hands. Gone are my days of Holding line with my Toe, My Mouth and my Hands all together to make the FG knot. The FG knot was my Favourite until I started the PR Bobbin Knot using the Shimano Bobbin ...
