Review: I liked it. - Had mixed reactions to the reviews but I went ahead and bought it anyway. I'm glad I did too. The pages are not in black and white as someone has mentioned. The objects do have colour. As a person who's given plenty of mcq exams, I was surprised to see them introduce an OMR sheet marking option for Std 1. The questions do follow one another with very little space in between. I helped me daughter through the first ten questions or so, showing her how to read the questions and have the answers put down on the OMR sheet at the end of the chapter. She figured it out after that. The questions are good and need the children to apply themselves a bit. The last few questions in each chapter are quite tough for them on the first try. But if you do it a couple of times I think they'll get the pattern. Prerequisites- 1. they need to have a basic understanding of the concepts before they start with this book. Otherwise they'll just leave it and go. 2. For them to do it on their own, they need a fair understanding of English. If they're still learning the language then you might have to help them understand the question. What I didn't like - 1. Paper quality isn't great. The book itself including the cover gets folded and curves easily. 2. One OMR sheet only at the end of alternate chapters. But overall I think it's a good collection of knowledge at a good price.
