The design of this bookend is perfect. It's heavy slick design holds many books upright. I use it on an "open" bookshelf that has no ends. I needed something decorative but heavyweight to do the job. I love the look of the couple reading. Recommended for any "book nerd" that loves to read "hard copy" books....not the ebook versions.

When the statue got to me it was literally in two pieces. The design is such that the connections are very thin and likely to break. I am expected to return to sender at my own cost. I tried to contact the supplier on the given support email address but to date, no reply. Public service announcement: don’t buy this
