I give this to my dog daily. She was a rescue who arriived in very poor health. She had a bacterial skin infection that had taken over her body among other things. To improve the skin condition, the gut needs to get healthy. She also had frequent diarrhea. This is the third bottle I have purchased. The diarrhea is gone and the skin is becoming healthier. I have bought Four Leaf Rover products before and I think they are a pretty good product/brand, yet this product was definitely not up to their standards. When I opened it, I could tell that some of the product was a little hard, but as I used it I could not break up the hardened product with a fork. The silica gel pack was in the container and you can see it here in the image. I ended up throwing this product out after I took this picture. Buyer beware.

My dog is raw fed so I added this in to his meals when he doesn’t get green tripe in his mix. I have not noticed anything different about his stools when switching from tripe to this intermittently. So, in my view, that means it’s good!

Dog’s HP soy diet is constipating. Bifido for Fido works better than Purina Forteflora: it contains one strain of probiotic that is a histamine producer. (Not great if your dog has allergies). This product has some strains that are histamine producers and some that are not. (But at least decreases quantity histamine producers-hopefully they will consider improving Bifido for Fido by getting rid of histamine producing strains-Bifid strains do not produce histamine.) My dog is no longer constipated while using this product. ( She eats green beans, carrots, or bell peppers daily, but Had to feed her prunes while she was on Fortiflora by Purina in order to soften stool. No scent or flavor.

This is the second time I have ordered Bifido for Fido by Four Leaf. I have a 3 1/2 year old Female French Bulldog that has skin allergy issues. Adding this probiotic to her diet, along with some other supplements that help support the immune system, has helped to eliminate much of her skin allergy issues. I make her food myself, so it has no added synthetic vitamins and no preservatives. I rotate with the other probiotics that Four Leaf has available to give her a broader variety of strains.

I ordered this hearing great things about it.. When I received it, I still had half a bottle left of the old probiotic to finish before starting it. Once the dogs finished that, I was excited to start them on this product.. but when I opened it, it was hard as a rock! I live in a very dry, second floor apartment. It's so dry I used to have a humidifier, but it broke and I never got around to replacing it. My animal products are stored on a cool dry shelf.. this hasn't happened to any other probiotic powder I've used for my dogs or cats. Not sure what happened here.. I did scrape what I could off to try it on their food, they seemed to like it. But it was too hard to scrape because the solid rock kept spinning in the container. Waste of money for me, sadly.
