I installed this Magicalmai inductive hour meter on my new Honda lawn mower, and it's been absolutely fantastic. It's a compact device, easy to install, and exactly what I needed to accurately track usage hours for proper maintenance scheduling. Installation took only a few minutes—I wrapped the included wire about five times around the ignition coil lead (spark plug wire), secured everything neatly with the provided adhesive tape, and used an extra zip tie through the mounting holes for added peace of mind. No external power needed—it picks up pulses directly from the engine. The device started logging hours immediately after installation, accurately tracking every mowing session. Now I can easily see exactly how many hours I've run the mower each week, which eliminates the guesswork and makes oil changes and other maintenance tasks a breeze. I have used three or four of these over the years. I put them on all my generators and small engines around the house to keep track of hours for oil changes. They work great very accurate. Easy to read and easy to mount. They give enough lead wire to mount wherever you need.

Worked like a charm. Easy to install. I ran the wires along the generator railing and mounted it on the faceplate to make it look factory. Tested it while breaking in the motor and it tracked accurately. Only thing I wish was different was the white lettering. I'd like to see it unbranded on the front so it could look completely OEM once installed on the generator. Maybe just put the branding label on the back.

Handy little thing, works good. Super simple to hook up, now I can keep track of when I need to change the oil in my wood splitter.

These hour meters work great. I put one meter on the Predator engine on my Harbor Freight backhoe and one meter on my 1997 Club Car DS golf cart. Easy to install and they make keeping up with maintenance quite a bit easier. I just two inch wide painters tape to attach them. I folded the tape back on itself in a loop. They have stayed in place for months now, even with a lot of engine vibration on the backhoe. I attached the meter to the air filter housing on the golf cart.
