Video is vibrant and sound is good. Sensitivity functions works as expected. Can walk all over the house (3,000 SF, 1,500 SF on each floor) without loosing connection. In fact, we have full bars in entire house without having to move the antenna. It stays tucked in. Color options in camara are good. Lullabies are great and an option to use random between available options. Timer for 15, 30, and 60 minutes or continues play or Off. Can talk to baby through integrated mic. Happy with purchase especially while it was on sell. Option to add up to 4 cameras and monitor on same LCD screen. Nearly 360 view. Only con is that the camera has to stay plugged in the wall to stay on, but I guess that's expected rather than changing batteries constantly as continues audio/video would consume power.

One of the best purchases I made. Works flawlessly. Never had an issue, even with multiple cameras.

Picture quality is top-notch. It's not a "budget" product in my opinion, but very worth it. We bought this to replace one of those cheap cloud-based cameras that we use to monitor our cat when we're away. Problem with that is that it takes a bit to load the app, was failing to connect 3 out of 10 times, and worst of all is that the video goes thru some server somewhere in China. I don't mind somebody spying on our empty house with our cat in it but I do very mind somebody spying on our baby. Local is the way. This monitor is practically unhackable and video never leaves the house (technically it does a bit since the range is fantastic). Excellent picture quality and night vision, connects immediately once you turn it on. Very very worth it.

Edit: The support team reached out to me after the review, and send me a replacement unit. I appreciate the support, and am using the replacement charging cables. Good: The monitor screen/image quality is great. Battery life is quite good too. Bad: - There is no noise cancellation. We typically have white noise playing in baby's room which is picked up by the camera and plays on the monitor which is quite annoying. - The camera charging cables seem to be of poor quality. The USB Type C ports for both cables broke with very minimal use

**update 11/23/2023** Babysense reached out to me directly about the issue we were having and fully replaced our monitor and cameras. We seemed to have to same issue with this model for night vision. However babysense went out of their way to make sure we were very happy with our monitor and cameras. They replaced our entire set with the new Prisma model. WOW!! I absolutely love this new model, camera quality is fantastic in both day and night mode. Extremely clear and I love the wider view of being able to see the entire room as well as our baby! Very happy with our new cameras and monitor and very pleased with the customer service at Babysense!! Bought an upgraded monitor and camera for the babies room. (Wanted to have 2 separate monitors which is why I didn't just get a second camera.) frustrated as the new monitor is supposed to be better and is a HD1080p so should be so much clearer than my old one and it's not. Very disappointed in the new monitor and may end up just getting a second of our original one.

Exceptional customer service through Babysense directly not Amazon support. When my camera would not connect or work after a few months they sent a new one to replace it. So helpful, quick to answer, asked for videos of what was happening. Overall lovely experience. And I love the monitor itself. I had a different monitor previously. Love the sound sensitivity, clear picture, easy setup.

I'm amazed at how much technology and quality is built into the Babysense MaxView 5.5" monitor. The images and sound are clear, and you can adjust many settings to suit your preferences. It's loaded with features that you'd never expect in a baby monitor. Even the packaging is first-rate -- rivaling that of Apple. We bought the one-camera set and it's all we need. If we ever do want to add a second camera, however, it's easy to do. And the monitor can show a split screen, so you can monitor both cameras at the same time. Another family member has a different brand of baby monitor that requires an internet connection and an app. The Babysense MaxView requires neither. The camera's image is transmitted to the monitor over the air. And its reach is claimed to be 1,000 feet! Oh, and if you're wondering what a "PTZ camera" is, it means the camera has pan-tilt-zoom capabilities, all controlled remotely from the monitor.

Do not buy this product - owned for 4 months, and used for 1 month. The stand for the monitor is fastened by a small metal cross bar that is not secured in place. As a result, the arm was constantly falling off and is difficult to put back on. The picture above shows the stand off of the monitor, and you can see a hole in the top right corner of where the stand should be secured in place. The cross bar ended up sliding completely into the hole, which is supposed to hold in place, and gone into the body of the monitor. The monitor immediately began to overheat and completely died within 5 minutes. We have attempted to charge it, but the devise continues to increase in temperature, and I fear it has become a fire hazard with a loose metal bar inside. Do not recommend purchasing.
