Package included:1 x Electronic Clock DIY Kits1 x Circuit board1 x Instruction manual Review: Works Great - Love it - Not bad - took a little time and patience to assemble but works as expected and keeps time! Review: Great little clock kit but requires USB power supply - Even though this basic clock kit came with no instructions it was easy to install and solder the components using the markings on the printed circuit board. As mentioned in other reviews it is important to connect the solder points for J1 and J2 with wire before attaching the display. When I first connected the battery pack, the clock worked for about 24 hours before the display stopped functioning properly. It appears that over a short period of time the battery voltage drops and cannot power all 4 digits. I replaced the battery with a 5v USB cable and the unit now works fine. If the kit had come with a USB connector, I would have given it a 5 star rating.

Far too flimsy, cheap battery holder, bad instructions
The copper on the circuit board is so amazingly thin that it keeps tearing and delaminating from the substrate. It’s been incredibly frustrating for the first-time solderer I bought it for: Every time he touches it, a circuit trace tears loose and it stops working. With the other problems like incomplete instructions and a weak defective battery holder, I seriously don’t recommend this for anyone, ESPECIALLY not a beginner.

Good project for youth looking to get familiar with electronics.
My 12 year old had no problem putting it together. He enjoyed it and uses it now.

Not as straight forward as it looks.
Fun to assemble and helped practice my soldering skills. If you don’t solder the J1 and J2 connections with wire (not provided) your clock will not work. You perform this step BEFORE soldering the digit display to the board. This step was not clear in the diagram and I provided pictures to help others understand. In addition it would be better if there was a different power option as others stated the batteries do not last. Mine lasted about 3 days. I’ll probably convert this to USB. Why not offer that option instead?
