Sun Protection Jacket Ultra Light Thin Breathable Packable Outdoor Cycling Jacket Hoodie Skin Clothing for Men & Women

This is very thin. Very. Which is exactly what I wanted. We go hiking in southern Utah, and mornings are fairly cool in spring and fall. I needed something just to keep the cold air off until I got warmed up from the hike, then I needed it to pack small and light. This does exactly that. If I forget sunscreen, I can still wear it, even if it gets pretty hot, like even into the 90's. Rain protection isn't a big concern, but this will keep a light drizzle off. I wear a large t-shirt, and this in a large fits perfectly over a short or long sleeve shirt. A sweatshirt might be a tad tight underneath, but would still be comfortable. For the price, this is a real bargain. My wife got a similar, light weight jacket from that lemon store and it was well over $100. I'm actually going to order another one for a spare.

5 star! My Amazon app is missing the middle star so I'll edit if needed. For the price, to get a four Oz wind layer is super impressive. Haven't tried it in the rain but I wouldn't wear a wind layer in the rain and expect to stay dry lol. The xl fit was comfortabl with the sleeves long enough for my athletic 6'1 , 215ish build. It packs down to a half a fist. The hood can tuck away into the collar no problem. I might make a quick mod to at pit zips just to help regulate temp esp with layers on but 5 out of 5.

Well, I have a kind of a sun allergy, so I have now bought two of these from different sellers. This one has a hood, and it's just a weird hood-construction. Like, the hood is on the outside of the collar part, but it doesn't tuck into the collar, so it's just awkward feeling, and it's a bit of a small hood- which is GREAT for people who are biking or hiking- it would be a perfect fit, for you- but I was hoping the hood would be a little bigger/ spacious for my purposes. I just need it to cover more of my face, in the front at the top. But that's not too terribly bad. Overall, it is a great little backup jacket, for extra bright days, and I haven't had any rashes while wearing it, yet, AND I haven't had swelling from feeling hot while wearing it- it's really VERY lightweight, and is somewhat see through. It's not something you can expect to wear for any fashion purposes. It's not fashion forward, but it's good enough for people like me, who have chronic spontaneous urticaria, and people who may have mast cell activation disorders. It zips up, and has a pocket, again- just a weird construction, but whatever. It serves its purpose. I also like that it fits into this tiny little bag, so easily. The bag has a drawstring, which is also nice. I can tie it to my purse, and it doesn't feel bulkier or heavier. It's comforting to have a little spare (even if it's somewhat ugly and awkward) jacket for extra bright sunny days that actually has that high UPF factor. Thanks for giving me a product I can count on at such a good price.

It's perfect! Lightweight and scrunchable into a tiny ball (and has a bag). Has a hood that folds into the collar if you don't need it. Has pockets! BUT, even tho I got the small, it is HUGE on me (I wear a woman's medium). AND I had to return it because the zipper will not go into the bottom clasp so I can't zip it up. I would like to just get a replacement, but what if all the zippers are balky. AND I wish it wasn't so big.

I bought this sun protection jacket for my husband because he works outside in the sun, especially in the Florida heat. It is very lightweight, breathable, and comfortable to wear while working outdoors. I also like that it provides extra coverage from the sun without feeling too heavy. Very practical for anyone who spends a lot of time outside!

Don’t get any rain on ya…sucks to you and cooks you. Poor quality…the Velcro cuts into your neck.

This item is exactly as described. However it is important to know that it is not a jacket in any conventional sense of the word. It’s a sunscreen. I don’t recall what the sunblock data are but it seems to block some sun. It’s nicely made, it is ultralight, and it’s cheap. If you want something that keeps the sun off and also lets air and moisture travel freely this is the perfect garment. I plan to wear it for summertime cycling and hiking and other outdoor activities when I want to forgo chemical sunscreens. I actually bought it hoping it was more of a jacket. However now that I have it, I suspect I will get some use out of it as a windbreaker. While it is completely permeable to the air I believe it will knock down airflow to some extent. I’m pretty sure it will be a nice addition to a sweater for cool dry breezy times. I am forever in a search of a garment that breathes freely but still knocks down airflow. This might be it. I will try to update this post after I have more experience with it.

I usually don't write reviews for products that I bought on Amazon but I felt like this jacket deserves it :) I was on the hunt for an ultra light rain jacket for backpacking and came across this particular jacket. The description said it was around 200 grams but I thought it should be a little bit lighter for the size that I wear. When I took it out of the box I immediately knew that it's a lot lighter than the specified weight bc I weighed one one my shirts and it's 110 grams and this jacket felt lighter. I instantly took out my kitchen scale and threw in on and "Holly cow" I was shocked when it registered at 69 grams for a size medium, almost too good to be true. I ran the jacket under the facet and all of the water rolled off leaving my hands completely dry. I'll sum up some of the points I like and dislike about the jacket. Pros: -ultralight 69 grams for size medium. -3 grams for the stuff sack. -water proof (to a certain degree) -Has a hidden hood that rolled into the collars and provides insulation for your neck. -slim fit elastic cuffs and helm. -good sewing throughout the jacket. - has a chest pocket to store small items. Cons: -runs a bit small (I am 5'10 and 147lbs pretty athletic shaped, I usually wear size small jackets but this medium fits me perfectly if I wear a one sweatshirts underneath) so size up one size if you're going to wear it over one base layer, and 2 sizes if you'll wear it over a down jacket. -not seam sealed ( though it's pretty easy to do so) -some extra material on the inside of the jacket and stitching on the velcro for the hood could be better. - doesn't provide much warm but this is not what it's intended for. Overall, I highly recommend this jacket if you're un ultralight backpacker and looking to get the absolute lightest rain jacket at the cheapest price point. It left a little bit to be desired but if you take the extra step to seam seal it yourself you'll have an amazing rain jacket that's super light and cheap.
