I am looking to use this outdoors, is there any UV or sun protection in the material?

1/4" inside diameter or outside?

Ancient Greek, The ID is 1/4 inch and does protect the cable. I have tried to use the entire length to protect 3 to 4 wires. Plenty of room, but can get tangled. The best thing is that if you want to take a wire out and connect in the midst of the wrap or add a wire or 2, it works pretty well. Good Luck..

Is there a trick to getting these on quicker? The sleeve and cord keep tangling up with each other

I start with the wrap about 6" from the end, wrap towards the close end 6", then slide the wrap down the wire. I do that until the whole thing is wrapped. It works much better on single wires where you can slide the wrap down the wire. This way you only have 6" of wire to deal with at a time and it doesn't get tangled with the wrap.

Perfect to protect wires from a wild kitten lol

Just got a kitten and put these on the wires for my living room lamps to protect them from his chewing lol. Easy to wrap around the wires and look like they were made for the lamp! Quality is perfect does not tear or rip! Easy to cut to length! Does the job great!

Works good for cable management with multiple power supplies

Works good for the multiple power supplies for a Sega Genesis 1 with Sega CD 1 and a Sega Genesis 2 with a Sega CD 2 & 32X. The 10 feet did both video games systems. However, the easy of use was a pain and a 1 star. If I wasn't so cheap I would have bought split loom tubing instead and got it done/wrapped in a faction of the time.

There's a Technique to it!

Having a cat who loves to chew electric cords I have tried many methods of protecting them. Prior to this I used split cable covers which work great but are tedious to fit. So this time I decided to try these spiral covers, and I must say they are much easier to install. I did discover it's easiest to cut the wrap into lengths of around 12-16 inches, otherwise the wrap gets tangled around the cord and becomes maddeningly difficult to continue. Cut to lengths, the spiral wraps goes on super easy, and I now have excellent protection for the external HD for my PS5 and its power adaptor!
