In the Eye of the Storm (Storm and Silence Saga) Review: Amazing! - This (and the one before it) are incredible books! I've honestly not been super interested in history, but the historical elements in these books have been informative in the most entertaining way. There's a great balance of action, romance, history, drama, and more. I can't get enough of these books and the story of Miss Lillian Linton and Mister Rikkard Ambrose. I definitely look forward to spending way too much time reading the next books in the series. Simply amazing! Review: Wonderful, Exciting and Romantic - Book 3 please!!! - I absolutely loved this book! Loved, loved book 1 and started reading book 2 immediately. I adore these characters and the setting. It was an exciting read - a page turner for sure. I would elaborate on the intricate, incredible characters and bits about the book but do not want to spoil the adventure that awaits anyone. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves passionate, determined, brave people who are willing to risk everything for adventure, love and something deep in their soul that yearns for more... I would love to read another book with these characters and hope that book 3 is in the works. A big fan of the Robert Thier now and will definitely read his other books. Thank you Robert for writing 2 wonderful books and creating these incredible characters.

Imagine the Silent, Subtle Mystery of the Sphinx--This Is the Opposite of That
This second book in the series is "only" 360 pages and estimated to take 6.75 hours to read--about half the first book. The story, set mostly in Egypt, alternates between wild adventures and sexual tension so thick it could be sliced with a scimitar. This is a sort of comic book without pictures, so readers must send their disbelief away on vacation for a while. I did stop for a minute when too much improbability was clinging to my ankles over one plot turn. And the characters are, as noted in the text, a glacier colliding with a volcano. Rikkard and Lilly are forces of nature. He is a cold-hearted pragmatist. She is a suffragette who finds she rather likes it when Rikkard once again slams her against a wall. They are just as subtle as a glacier and a volcano. But, you have to like a girl who curses in Victorian English ("you son of a bachelor") and Arabic and then throws in "Moses and macaroons!" The book is diverting and amusing at a time when I appreciate being diverted and amused.

Why must it end
Why must all good books come to an end and follow with mixed emotions... First you have the excitement of finishing and discovering the end, then the sadness that it's over. The annoyance because you want more, NEED more. This book always leaves me in this state no matter the amount of times I have read it. And the same with the first. You can read it over and over and still experience the emotions you did the first time, you connect with the character and begin to feel apart of her wanting the son of a Batchelor to yourself. But most of all this book allows you to escape the world, leave this 'destroyed' planet and enter a new lifetime far away from here I love these books and will be re reading them until I can buy the third one.

You did it Rob
Wrote a great story about a funny, sarcastic woman who begins the thaw of a grumpy, cold fish. I absolutely love the characters. And, not just Lilly and Rick. You’ve created personalities for the supporting cast; even the camel! It’s non-stop action interspersed with small, sweet, tender moments that convince me Rick is worth the effort. He’s a Doc Martin-type character who this reader has no problem believing was raised with a modicum of care; ergo he has no relationship skills or even an understanding of the concept. Lilly is the perfect person to teach him! Thanks for a great read and I cannot wait for the next installment.

Not For Me
If you're into a lot of action and a little romance than you'll probably enjoy this book. If you are into a lot of romance with a little action (like me!) then you probably won't. I thought the cat and mouse romance just got too tiring and frustrating.

Wonderful!
This book is a great sequel to Storm and Silence, where the very silent and powerful Mr. Ambrose gained a very unexpected type of secretary. Enter Lillian Linton, suffragist who wants more rights for women in a world where men rule all. But in this story she will prove her knowledge and worth as a woman,( very much needed in my opinion), and defy those who try to stop her from dreaming and becoming a successful working woman. READ THIS BOOK! Robert Thier has a great writing style that keeps me wanting more of his written works, I highly recommend this series and cannot wait to see where his next installment, Silence is Golden, will take me next

I absolutely love the character Lilly Linton
I am really desperate for another installment of this story. I absolutely love the character Lilly Linton. This series could go on forever as far as I'm concerned. Even though I do like a happily ever after, I enjoy the cat and mouse action between Lilly and Ambrose. It makes the romantic scenes waaayyyy more intense. And I'm really happy to see a suffragette who tries to stick to her guns, and sort of forces a chauvinistic character to take another look at what women are capable of doing, even if most the time he's probably trying to ignore the whole issue.I would like to know what goes on in his head a little more.

<i><b>"Has anyone ever told you that you are a real gentleman, Mr Ambrose?" "No." "Well, don’t expect them to."</b></i> I have never enjoyed any series this much and haven’t laughed so openly while reading this series and still loved binge-reading it all of them in a week. Meet Lillian Linton, a nineteen-year-old orphan girl, who lives with her five sisters and uncle and aunt. Her parents died when she was six and the estate that belonged to her parents went straight to their distant cousin being a man. Since then, Lillian has vowed to become an independent woman. But what’s stopping her? She is in 1800s when Queen Victoria ruled and at the time, the London high society only talked about introducing girls to the balls for perfect suiters. And that’s what her aunt did. Pushing Lillian to every ball to marry her off as soon as possible. But rebellious Lillian one day, disguises herself as a man (by wearing trousers) and ends up at polling station to give vote since women had no voting rights. She is caught and sent to jail but before that, with her intelligence, she is offered the job of a private secretary to the England’s most richest man— Mr Rikkard Ambrose. Meet Rikkard Ambrose — the most eligible bachelor and the richest but a a super chauvinist stingy miser. Ha! Yes, that’s what Lillian says. He hates spending money but his obsession is to make money all the time. When Mr Ambrose finds out that he’s been tricked by a woman for the first time , he makes his best effort to make Lillian’s life miserable in his office because he thinks a woman has no brains to work in a competent environment. But Lillian, in her trousers is empowered, self confident and proves herself better than any man Mr Ambrose could have hired. From the dungeons of East India company to France, from Egypt to Amazonian jungle— Lillian proves herself the worthy of being the only private secretary— only one person in the world who can hold Mr Ambrose’s tantrums. Beautifully written , extremely hilarious, this series will give you a roller coaster ride of laughter, romance, hate, passion and adventure. (P.S. I discovered this gem on Wattpad) FIVE STARS!!

What a read! I've been a big fan of Robert Their following his online writings for a while now. In the Eye of the Storm was no less scintillating than his other books. It's the second book in the Storm and Silence Saga (and I would really recommend reading book 1 first). The characters are quirky and relatable, with a plot line that twists and turns and moments of hilarity that won't let you put it down. ITEOTS had me totally absorbed, and I eagerly anticipate book 3 in the Storm and silence Saga. I just wish it was longer, and I didn't have to wait to satisfy my curiosity about my favourite Ilfrit!
