I researched irons extensively before I bought the T-Fal Express Steam +. It’s super easy to fill, unlike some irons with a small water inlet, you can do it right from the sink and the manufacturer recommends NOT using distilled water as I’m used to, but states the iron operates better with tap water. It has a calc cleaning process that eliminates scale if used monthly according to the manual. The iron heats very quickly, makes loads of steam and if used properly, doesn’t leak or spit water. Dress shirts appear starched, even when you don’t use starch because the iron presses that well. The turbo steam button puts out very strong bursts of steam if needed. The sole plate really is made to glide smoothly and easily over the fabric and it does. The only thing I wish was different was the instructions on the steam function. There is a toggle switch that appears to have three settings: steam , no steam, and a third option which appears to be a setting for “extra steam” according to the manual. The problem is you cannot switch the toggle to that extra steam setting, you can slide the toggle over and then it slides back if you release. I thought I had a malfunctioning unit because of this. The problem is if you want to choose that option, you have to hold your thumb on the toggle switch while ironing. Not a big issue but it would have been better to just be able to leave the toggle on that setting. All in all, that is a minor quibble as this iron is amazing and a great bang for your buck at a very reasonable priced compared to the expensive irons on the market. Can’t go wrong.

So far this iron has surpassed my expectations. Maybe I was just so ready for a new one because my previous iron was really old. However, this one works perfectly! The steam works great! It presses my husbands uniforms and looks like they were pressed professionally!

I have always liked the T-Fal brand for irons and cooking pans. For some reason this particular iron has a very short cord that makes it hard to use without an extension cord.

I purchased the T-fal Economaster steam iron after having the $45, 1800w model temperature dial fall out after 3 months of light use. Customer service is awful. This version is a small, lightweight iron. At 1400w, it produces a decent amount of steam and does the job. However, the 6 ft cord is much too short unless you are right next to the outlet. Using an extension cord only creates more cord issues. My iron started shooting calcium flakes right out of the box. Doesn't hurt the clothes, just creates a mess. I am hoping this corrects itself after more use.

I bought this iron 8 months ago. I was ironing my clothes for a funeral when the heating plate detached from the iron. I couldn’t find any hardware that might have fallen out to cause the heating plate to detach. I reached out to T-fal and I still haven’t received any response after a week. It’s disappointing, I thought T-fal was a reputable company that would sell quality products and stand behind their products. In reality they sell crap and won’t even respond when a customer reaches out with problems.

The iron stopped functioning after just one month of use, which is quite disappointing.

This is my second T-fal iron. As you'll notice in the picture it's a bit smaller than the older pink model but the size makes no difference. It also has fewer steam holes but that hasn't impacted the results. It irons well, glides well, It's light weight, gives off great steam and it sits at a good angle on its base making it less likely to be knocked over. I did try the "CHI steam iron" but it's quite heavy and doesn't glide easily, I also tried the "Sunbeam Classic Steam iron" but it's an odd shape and the cord constantly twisted under the heel making it tippy. There may be complaints about the size of the opening for filling with water, but I had no problem. I think this is an easy to use dependable product.

The reviews say that the iron is delivered used. I placed an order in February, the iron had condensation and drops inside, but it was perfectly packaged, like new! Maybe this is a check at the factory when it is released? I gave it a try and it turned out to be very good quality! Performs all the functions described, smoothes perfectly, vertical and horizontal steam, does not heat up if left on for more than 10 minutes. In general, I recommend it!
