The technical description does not state that the unit is 120v and comes with an American plug. It may work ok in the UK but I'm not taking the risk and returning it.

This 10A charger is so very simple to use, simply hook up the clips to the battery plug it in to power and push the start button. The charger does everything else, even if you have the clips hooked up on the battery the wrong way it won't work/spark or ruin anything. I have used this on my riding lawn mower battery, tried it on both vehicles batteries and even two 6v batteries in line on a golf cart. This charger worked on all the batteries flawlessly, and then if you leave it hooked up overnight it keeps the battery topped off and fully charged. The size is very nice, easy to store and only weighs a pound or so. This is a great charger that is very user friendly and when needed should do the job and not break the bank. Hope this helps!

It does what it needs to. Simple but effective Easy to use, with a simple red/bad vs green/good display. Just plug it in, attach the clamps to color coordinated battery connections, and in a couple hours the green light is on and you're fully charged and ready to go. I especially like that it doesn't need to be monitored & disconnected as soon as it's done. It brought my fully dead battery back to life overnight (now, twice) and has paid for itself.

Don't waste your money on smaller wattage chargers, I did and finally ordered this one. I love this charger and maintainer I use it on my 1998 Z3 BMW and it keeps the battery charged and automatically goes into maintain trickle charge. No need to disconnect it after it charges the batter, if the charge on the battery dropsthis charger automatically switches to maintain trickle charge.

Kept the car going during a period of alternator failure, couldn't ask for more. Charges fully in about 6 hours.
