Durvet/Equine 699664 Epsom Salt Poultice Flow Gel, 20 oz

Very economical and effective poultice. I know most use this for hoof abscesses, but I use for general swelling and bumps. Pulls out swelling well and stays put even in rainy or wet weather. Will dry out superficial scrapes well

My horse had a swollen fetlock that spread to his entire lower leg. He won’t let me soak his legs so I needed something I could just put on and leave on. I found this item on a horse message board. This stuff is nice and thick and it smells pretty good. He let me slather it on his leg then I wrapped it. I could feel the tingling on my hands but it wasn’t too much and it didn’t feel hot/burn. I left it on for two days and it was visibly improved when I removed the wrap. I already knew it was working before that because he was no longer struggling as badly to walk or put weight on it. I did another two rounds of slopping this on, but didn’t follow that up with wrapping it and just left it to air dry. It completely healed his swollen leg, and fast too! It saved a call to the vet! I’m going to make sure to always have this on hand.

Really worked well and was easier than soaking.

This was actually recommended by my horse vet. My horse had a terrible abscess in her hoof and my vet told me to apply this to gauze and wrap the hoof. It took a few days but this stuff worked and drew out the abscess.

I know the product and it works well. During this order though it came in a different type of jar not as per picture and was very thick. Too thick to apply to my horse. It seemed potentially old or dried out. There was no expiry date printed on the space that should have shown the expiration date.

This is a great product for addressing hoof abcesses in a hoof wrap.

I use this product under padding for hoof abscess my gelding gets frequently. It really helps the healing process quickly.

Bought it for hoof abscess and bruise - Abcess was gone within two days! Awesome!!! Bruise subsided within three days and swelling on the leg was gone - and all with a pleasant smell like chewing gum :)
