Twists Soft Drink Mix - Ice Blue Raspberry Lemonade Unsweetened, Caffeine Free, 0.22 Ounce (Pack of 12)

This is a great product. I use it to make a concentrated flavoring and I add real frozen lemonade to sweeten it and improve the taste. I add seltzer water. I needed a blue drink and this was the way to do it. With the unsweetened base you can sweeten it however you want and it is tart and tasty and blue. I even add caffeine, because that is an essential ingredient. It is just what I needed and it never occurred to me to use Kool-Aid. I have not used Kool-Aid in decades. This is a very good flavoring agent, which is what I was looking for. Soda-Stream people should check out the Kool-Aid aisle. I have a soda stream but it was a disappointment. I use a Seltzer maker instead and that is far better IMO. This review is for the 12 pack which wasn't the best price, but I bought a much larger quantity for a reasonable price. I want only this flavor so I bought a giant amount at once and that was a good price. People complain about the price but pricing fluctuates and sometimes there are deals...

I'm an Air Force officer, which we (un)affectionately refer to as "Big Blue". In dealing with the endless bureaucracy and waste of taxpayer money so that defense contractors can get paid and senior leadership can get promoted, it's easy to get frustrated. Instead of voicing this dissent, which would be bad for our careers, we're often cautioned to keep our objections to ourselves and "drink the Blue Kool-Aid", or do what one is told without dissent, even when clearly questionable...an obvious reference to the mass suicide in Guyana in 1978. I bought a mess of this, and a blue Kool-Aid Man mug on ebay. If I'm supposed to drink the Blue Kool-Aid, fair enough. I'll do it literally, and continue to be the squeaky wheel. The mug stays on my desk as a reminder of their cowardice to those in my squadron who are too timid to do the right thing in the face of external pressure. Also, this flavor of blue is pretty tasty with Splenda.

This is the Berry Blue Koolaid I drank as a kid in the late eighties. I remember the marketing blitz for it back then, I drank it a lot in the summer! The "Berry Blue" Kool-Aid out now is not the same ancient formula--this "Ice Blue Raspberry Lemonade" is. I know, I can taste this variety of Kool-Aid by just thinking about it. The blue color looks amazing in a glass pitcher--seemingly nuclear in origin! Delicious smooth lemonade type flavor without the sourness or bite. Unsweetened, so you can add your own sweetener.

I normally would get these at the grocery store but they seem not to keep this flavor in stock much anymore. The packages I got were about a quarter full so I had to use more packs than usual and the powder was impacted so it just fell out in a clump as if it was wet then dried.

Received in perfect condition and this was the best deal per pack that I could find online. I normally pick up a bunch for cheaper if I happen to be in the states but this is the next best option I could find. We don’t have these in Canada anymore (at least not in BC) except at some special import candy stores. This was my favourite drink as a kid and I drink it all the time now too, except now I use Splenda instead of sugar. It’s nice to be able to use your choice of sweetener. I usually use the baking 1:1 Splenda but I’ve used the little squeeze bottles of liquid stevia, I’ve used a mix of sugar and Splenda, also powdered stevia. The taste with the stevia wasn’t exactly the same but with Splenda it’s perfect. Will definitely buy again if it’s still available for the same price when I run out :)

My kids favourite since they were wee. Unable to buy in our area for years. Really enjoyed the nostalgia this induced for them as well as their children. Still tastes the same Is nice to have a product we can use with the choice of how much sweetener & what type of sweetener we add.

is great with soda stream just like other koolaid I like it with no sugar or any sweeteners as I'm diabetic and can't take the after taste of -phony sweetners
