Routledge Descriptosaurus Story Writing: Language in Action for Ages 5–9

I purchased Descriptosaurus Story Writing: Language in Action for Ages 5–9 for my 7-year-old son, and it’s been a fantastic resource. He genuinely enjoys working through it, and I can see his confidence and creativity in storytelling growing with each use. The structure of the book provides clear guidance, rich vocabulary, and engaging prompts that help young writers develop descriptive language and narrative structure in a fun, accessible way. It strikes a great balance between educational value and imaginative freedom. As a parent, I truly appreciate how this book supports language development while making writing enjoyable. Highly recommended for any young learner who loves stories or is just beginning to explore creative writing.

Useful for writing

The word layout is quite good but I was really disappointed when the book arrived as it doesn’t contain illustrations in other chapters of the book except for the 1st one which is the chapter used on the preview, so it leads you to think that is the norm for every chapter when it’s not.
